I’m so happy we can continue the UAC! Thank you thank you thank you to @RangerRickL for your commitment the past few years and thank you to @Mrs_Hoffer for stepping up to take over the lead role. I believe with so many of us stepping up to help, we are ensuring the UAC has a long future. I’ve joined other MFP groups in the past, but never stuck with one, or been as successful, as I have with the UAC. So yay for us!
Now I have to confess that my June is not ending well, as far as tracking, etc. Two weeks ago I let something someone said to me completely derail me. It took me by such surprise and I was so hurt, that I let those stupid voices into my head, I was depressed, and I started down that path of complete self pity. I kept telling myself “do not lose control and gain back those 30 pounds”. Every day got a little worse, until a week ago when I started eating everything in sight, ending with a trip to Dairy Queen where I ordered and ate TWO large sized blizzards. I forced myself to step on the scale the next day, gained over 5 pounds, recorded it, and have most of it off already. When Rick announced the end of the UAC I thought “that just figures, one more thing to go wrong”. So to say I’m grateful for so many stepping up to continue this journey is an understatement.
Needless to say, I am definitely NOT in the winners circle. I also was .6 away from a goal I’d set myself for June, which is now unattainable. But I’m here, back on track, moving forward.10 -
@biketheworld
I’m struggling myself. 🆘
I have oodles of “reasons”, and I know you & I can turn this around. Just when I MOST needed UAC since I joined, change happened. I know I need UAC to continue to be successful. Now we’ve got a plan.
All will be okay.
Congratulations to you for catching & turning around your situation. I hope to be able to report the same in the next couple of weeks.
Warmly
🌸Maddie8 -

@biketheworld
I am pretty sure that that person is not worth it at all. Feel pity for this person. Think like this: "Oh, you poor wretch, something goes totally wrong in your life, but don't even think to compensate by trying to hurt me (the good one)
Come back and don't wait for Monday or July 1. If your continue today you will be an inch closer to your goal. Don't allow other people to take control over your life11 -
25th June
3 x Yes
Calories: Just about under, but that's because I went for a really nice meal in our local restaurant. I hadn't eaten much during the day, went for the lower calorie choices and stopped eating when I wasn't hungry any more.
Exercise: Yes, a little more than yesterday, 30 minutes walking
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.
Travelling to The Netherlands tomorrow. I can have breakfast and lunch at home and then that's more or less it, apart from a glass of wine when I get to my friends ... Will walk round the airport while I am waiting to board ...10 -

Yes x 3 today. Husband and I had an appointment first thing in the morning. When we got home, it looked like the all day rain that was predicted was about to start. So I hopped on my bike and got 5 minutes in when it started. I persevered for another15 minutes just to make certain I had my exercise calories in.
Tomorrow and the day after will be tricky. Travelling 9 hours by car to my daughter's and then coming back home on Sunday. Husband will be driving a moving van with her first apartment furniture in it to be stored in our basement. She will be travelling with him and I'll follow in the car. She will be home for a week then she will return by train. She needs to finish her research and will be renting a bedroom for a couple months until the Fall when she will come home to write her thesis. I still have 2 pass days left for June but I hope not to use them. I have a plan for the trip but it's pushing it very close to goal with a minimum of exercise (just a brief walk tomorrow if I can fit it in - really depends on how things are going for her once I get there). I'm not going to stress about it. I will be in the Winner's Circle for June whether I take the weekend as pass days or not.
As a side note, I did an abdominal 10 minute workout today. That has been one of my longer term goals: to fit in abs and soon arms. On Monday I will do the arms video for 15 minutes. I plan to work that into my day also. I am thinking I will alternate those, every other day. This is huge for me as I have never done any kind of workouts in my life other than cardio. We'll see how that works out once my vacation is over. It should be do-able while I still work from home, but we are hearing rumours that soon we will be expected back in the office. I'm so dreading it; I'm loving all the free time I have.9 -

@biketheworld I've been struggling as well, but I refuse to give up! It's hard to get my motivation back once it's gone. But for me, I've found that it helps to remember my "why". Why did I want to lose weight (when I began my weight loss journey?) Why did (do) I want it so badly?
When I get discouraged about not losing weight as quickly as I wanted, or not meeting the monthly (mini) goal that I set for myself - I remember that I haven't been this (current) weight since I was in my 20s. When I had my appendix out a few weeks ago, it felt good to tell the nurse that I weighed 165 (and not 205!) What's the old saying about not being where I want to be (yet), but not being where I USED to be!?
@Jana_2020 it's great that you have a PLAN for your trip! And good for you for not stressing out about it. I also like your idea of alternating abs and arms workouts. I need to start working on both as well (I've just been procrastinating!)5 -
Not today, but close7

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? YES (carrying camping equipment from basement to garage --going camping with hubby for 3 days starting Sunday -- also elliptical workout and ab and arm app workouts)
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? YES
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? YES
Pass Days Used: 07 -
@biketheworld, you've done the best thing (coming back to accountability). Congratulations!!!
It's not easy to "climb back into the wagon" but it's worth it! and you have done that.
You are definitely correct about the UAC group. It is the most successful group for me. I am also glad that it will continue. Thank you @MadisonMolly2017 and @Mrs_Hoffer
I also need UAC badly even though I am in maintenance. Sometime I fall off the wagon and I tell myself "climb up again" because you do not need to buy new clothes. The cost of not climbing back up is too much.- Health-wise
- Financial
- Self Esteem
- The fall out to other areas of my life.

I plan to stay with only these 3 passes..... Still holding to this number!8 -
I have joined the July group... Yay!!!10

Thank you all for keeping the UAC going. It means so much. I have to travel so much that I’m afraid to make a commitment as I know it will be tough and something always ends up giving - usually self-care - but I’m trying.

Tracking: Yes
Calories: under
Exercise: Yes,
15 min warm up
10 min core
15 min barre
15 min lift lower body

I've been really terrible about posting regularly this month. Still tracking calories every day (and staying on track), but exercise has been sporadic. It's just SO HOT in south Texas right now that I'm having a hard time staying motivated to do much more than sit under a fan. I guess I should give myself credit for continuing to monitor my eating, but honestly I feel like I've let myself slide backward.
I'm grateful that so many people have stepped up to keep the UAC alive. Still contemplating whether to take a break in July, since we'll be traveling. (On the other hand, maybe that's a good reason not to.)10 -
June 25:
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes - 30 minutes on the stair stepper and a 30 minute walk.

Pass days used: 6/3
I am so excited that we have a great team for July!9 -
Yes, yes, and yes. A good day.
Thanks so much to everyone for making this and it's continuation possible. I just signed up for July, see y'all there!11 -

Yes to all questions. Had a productive day 😁, I even had to force the last meal since I forgot to eat, I like this, this rarely happens, food always comes first for me.
Goodnight/ good morning to you all 💜💛9 -
@biketheworld Thank you for sharing your pain. I'm looking forward to walking (or biking) along with you for a long time. I'm grateful that the UAC is a safe place for you too.

@TerriRichardson112 Looks like you got to dance the night or day away. You are always an inspiration to me!3
-
@Jana_2020 You keep getting stronger and more motivated all the time. Best wishes as you help your daughter move to her apartment.3
-
@pamsja You do whatever is right for you right now. Fortunately, I can now say that we will be here for you!5

I was doing well on my tracking until our oldest grand-daughter stayed for an overnight at our home. Tracking and calories went out the window with a tall lean 15 year old adolescent in the house. I would not change anything. It's so great to have her with us.
Pass too many! (5)7 -
2/3 again today. Exercise and tracking. Calories? Nope. Not even close.
Sometimes, it's really hard to remember that I'm doing this for myself. Sometimes, frankly, it's hard to remember why I'm here at all. Why I bother. This week I had a total meltdown over all kinds of things going on in my life right now; mental, emotional, physical, financial, just everything. Sat on my couch and just bawled for probably 10 minutes straight. I got it out for now and I'm back. Not as much as I need to be, but I'll get there. One of the issues will sort itself this weekend. One way or the other. We'll see. In the meantime, I'll continue to hang in there. Bike ride in the morning with my sister and daughter (we're trying again!). And then, another ride, solo this time, on Sunday morning. I need it.
Have a great weekend y'all!13
