It's Sunday! Even though we need to get at least 20 minutes of exercise per day, you still need some rest!
Please get some rest....

3x yes for all questions.
Did muscle workout. I made some research yesterday on which muscle workouts help with running. I didn't have enough time today to do it all, but did some and I wandered why this never came to me before.

Is there any way we can help @NJPate ?
Congratulations on the yoga class & 3 miles of walking! Your heart, muscles, bones, brain etc thank you now (and so does your future self!) 🎉🎉🎉💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻❤️❤️❤️
One thing I did was master breakfast. Then lunch. Then my afternoon snack. And then dinner. Some were quick, and dinner took months. Breaking these habits into sections makes them more manageable & reinforces are feelings of success!

Exercise – yes, bike ride 30 minutes, and some light cardio.
Tracking – yes
Calories – yes
2 pass days.
Father’s Day was hard for me – my son’s children don’t have a daddy any more – all those cards and posters in the shops make me well up. My little granddaughter (my son’s little girl) has her 5th birthday soon but the card shops not only have Father’s Day cards but they also have “Happy birthday son” cards right in the middle of the display of birthday cards, so I haven’t yet managed to get her a card.
I have a whole year of “firsts” to get through.

My quad tested out OK at an easy pace during the first 50 minutes of my run today, at which point some sort of wasp/hornet started chasing me. It actually kept coming after me for about 1/4 mile with me running ahead and trying to swat it away or off of me. It disappeared after I passed a couple other runners going the other way. Hope they didn't get attacked!
After that I switched to walking because I had gone up into Zone 5 HR during that 1/4 mile. I could feel my muscles flushing with lactate as I tried running again at easy pace making me worried I might be pushing my luck on that quad.
Towards the very end of my walk I could feel the quad being tender so I will be adjusting my workouts this next week. I can run at easy pace but it is not ready for anything strenuous yet. So I'll give it a week at lower efforts and see how things go.
Outside of that unusual start to the day I spent the rest at home with the family. It was a good day.
Happy Fathers day to all the fathers out there.

No. I had a wonderful day with my dad and family and so appreciate that we could all do that. I have tried to never take anything for granted and life changing events have reinforced that many times over the years, but these past 15 plus months … I am very thankful. My dad planted sunflowers but he didn’t see on the package that they are miniatures, so I’m bringing my camera down next week and I’m going to make him pose like a giant.3
