OUCH @Jen_967 that does NOT sound like fun! Glad you had a great trip, but OUCH! Hope you feel better soon...do you have to have surgery, wear a cast or what? After all the trouble I've had with my knee, you KNOW you have MY sympathy!! Take care gal!

I still haven't made the chicken, spinach and penne recipe yet, but still mean to. I've been eating lots of leftovers in the freezer and then made the mistake of not meal prepping so was eating takeout for most of the past week. Not good! This coming week I'll be eating fish as my sister's friend just gave us fresh fillets from a fishing trip he was on. I will get to that chicken.
@Waifer003 Such a beautiful picture! Hiking would be such a pleasure with those scenic views.
@jessicakrall8 What fantastic summers you had with your mom and cousins! I miss the childhood times with my mom too. I remember the very cold winters when my mom and my grandma would make steamed pork buns. It was our version of char siu baos, only the ground pork in the center of the bun was not roasted, it was flavored and mixed with chopped chives and napa cabbage. It's too bad I didn't learn to cook from them except for a few dishes. I really miss those buns! Anyway, the kitchen would steam up something fierce and because it was so cold outside the windows would first fog and then frost over in beautiful crystal patterns.

Swimming over running although my swimming is really bad. I don't run.
Regular soda over diet soda. If I'm going to drink it, I'll take regular. I don't really drink soda except on rare occasions now.
Water over juice, but like regular soda, I rarely drink juice. I do though drink smoothies made of mostly fruits.
Both - hot/cold. Some things need to be hot and others cold.
Both - Mexican/Chinese
Neither - I am a sci fi/fantasy/action fan
Usually prefer staying in than going out
If you noticed, I tend to like most food/drink. I love food. However, I eat too much of it hence my need to lose weight.2 -

It's raining here in VA so my neighbor and I just went to the grocery to pick up our lunch supplies for the week and we walked all the aisles! Just hit my step goal for the day! Humidity is a pain in the southeast so we have to get creative with our walking!

Something funny that happened to me today...been wanting a little treat all week and today was the day...was going to have one package of those miniature donuts with the roasted coconut on the outside...a whopping 370 calories...I open it and it's molded! SMH...wasn't meant to be...UGH!

Ouch! That's terrible especially if you planned for your treat. Looking on the bright side, you're under by 370 calories!
I kind of planned for a treat too. I bought a single bar of haagen daaz chocolate coated vanilla ice cream bar and it costed me a whopping $3.59. The 3-bar pack is more economical, but I would have eaten all three of them in one day.
What do I hope to accomplish by June 30th? I hope that I will stick to my calories and also start walking again. I've been eating over calories (especially due to too much takeout) which explains the weight gain. I've managed to stay away from chips and cheetos, but know that when I get to my sister's at the end of the month there will be both those temptations. I need substitutes to snack on. It's hard because I love chips and cheetos.2 -

Hi everyone,
Greetings from Paros,Greece.I managed to get here with all the extra forms,& also tests we have to do due to covid.It was so worth it.The weather is hot 29c yesterday.I am enjoying all the lovely Greek food & wine.I love swimming in the sea & there is a pool at our apartment.Every morning I think I will go for a walk early but we often out till the small hours so not managed it yet!4 -

We just got home last night. I hope you all had an amazing week. I am so not ready to come off vacation mode but time to hop on the scale and try not to cringe. lol. It's nice to be back and I will be catching up on all the posts I missed as soon as I am able to. A week gone and its so much insanity.3

Oh man!! I wish a speedy recovery. My boyfriend and I went on a treasure hunt and within the first 20 minutes my foot fell in a hole and I really messed up my knee. Being the trooper I am decided to push through it for the next 10 miles😳. I ended up needing to see an orthopedic surgeon because my right knee was so swollen it looked like I had no knee, it was one big, swollen lump. The fall was so bad though that the swelling actually pushed my meniscus off to the side. Every time I took a step I had a pinched nerve feeling up and down my whole leg. It was rough and took months to feel better. I actually still have quite a bit of swelling but nothing like it was.
The one thing that I think really helped was Biofreeze. I highly recommend this to everyone. Smells bad but feels amazing! Lol2 -
I love biofreeze. Its one of the few items that has ever worked for me as well. I swear by it. I have it in gel, roll on, and spray. I don't recommend the patches for it though. The thing to be careful of is that it does work really well so be mindful that yes you are still injured and don't over do it just because it feels a bit better. I made that mistake too.3
