I’m a few days late. A little frustrated because I have been stuck right around these numbers for a while….but not surprised. My exercise is good, my daytime eating is fine…but snacking at night has been a huge problem lately. Making a goal this week to completely cut that out!2 -

@rachelrjh sorry to hear about your dog.
My steps were horrible last week. I had to take my son to an appointment, I had 2 tests, and I was sick. Hoping for a better week this week. On Friday i felt so sick my bosses sent me home probably because they knew i wouldn't just leave on my own. I didn't argue with them. I have started feeling better yesterday. Today we went to a brewery for fathers day, it was fun, then came home and went in the pool. I'm exhausted and do not want to get my meals ready for tomorrow. I'll just have to try and get up a few minutes early.1 -

I'm going at snail pace, but I just hope this will be the right way to transition into maintenance more easily than all the previous times.
I ate too much, yes, BUT ! : I've also been able to dive on Saturday and a long bikeride on Sunday. As from today hubby and I have a week off but now the weather is horrible (of course...). Maybe if the rain stops, we'll go diving again this evening. Another fun activity to look forward to today is some couch shopping. We - hubby, me and the cats - have finally ruined our second couch ever (and we've been living together for 32 years), so no guilt in buying our third couch. It will be fun !2 -

You are currently excused for last week so it wouldn't be registered as a non-weigh-in. If you provide an updated weight, I'll add that to the spreadsheet.0 -
I chose to have my dog euthanized today. Emotional eating happened afterwards. I’m feeling sick to my stomach from all the junk… bread, cake, cookies, icing, chips, soda.4

Sending you love and support - do what you need to do to take care of you, take whatever time you need. We're here whenever (if ever) you need us.3 -

I'm so sorry about your dog. I haven't had a pet in...almost three decades but I remember how sad I was when my pooch passed. Take care of you.2 -
I've been a bad co-captain...sorry to have not contributed more the past week!
Was on vacation last week. Did really well early in the week but then the munch monster escaped and...well, she's still not contained. Vacay was a lot of driving--my hubby wanted to visit ghost towns w/in 200 miles of where we live. So that's what we did. We camped one night (super hot) and it was fun, but not restful. I'd hoped it was early enough in the summer to not have to deal with swarms of bugs. I was disappointed. It was too hot the second night (105 F at 5 pm in the shade)...and got a hotel room instead. Saw many interesting ruins. Celebrated 21 years of marriage.
Now the munch monster needs to be contained...and the walks must recommence. Sat and Sun I was a total slug. Had a nasty headache Sunday...that's my excuse!
Yay everybody! So many people have had good losses!2 -

~~ June Week Four ~~
Hi folks! Pardon the late post - I was waiting to see if more people were going to share their steps before I wrote anything... and then time just got away from me.~ Team Announcements ~
Motivator Needed!
We are looking for a new motivator (or two!) to keep up with the group, share some inspiration for the team, and give Melanie and me a hand from time to time if necessary. It's a simple role, and I would be more than happy to help anyone interested learn the ropes of crafting an effective Motivator Message™ (the trademark symbol makes it look more official, no?).They'd Walk 1000 Miles If They Could Just Seeeeeee Yoooooooou
We had five strong steppers logging this past week, totaling over 300,000 steps as a team! On average, that's over 60,000 steps per person (which is incredible).
The Leaderboard:
@sandielewis2001 - 77,603 total | 11,086 average - Most Steps in One Day!
@lennoncpa - 66,806 total | 9,544 average
@dbrinkmeyer - 57,024 total | 8,146 average
@ljdanny - 54,134 total | 7,733 average
@pacsnc6 - 46,729 total | 6,676 average - Most Consistent!
What a small but mighty team! Keep up the great work, the great progress, and be sure to grab a couple pictures if you see something interesting while walking around. We love to see places we haven't been, animals we haven't seen, the world around you. Sharing is caring!3 -

This morning I was lazy. I didn't want to go on my morning walk, I only wanted to snuggle in bed and sleep in. Luckily for me I had previously identified 5 "good" reasons to skip my walk. An excused absence, if you will.
- No walk if it is rainy outside because wet dog smell is disgusting (this is a rarely used excuse in sunny CA)
- No walk if it is below 35 degrees outside (This gets me out of a few days in the winter time)
- No walk if it is over 90 degrees outside (I've never used this one since it is always cool in the morning)
- No walk if the air quality is poor due to fires (I will not endanger my lungs in the pursuit of health)
- No walk if I am sick or in pain. My body needs rest to heal
This morning I had no valid excuses so I told myself to get out of bed and walk just a short distance. I can walk less than a mile even if I feel blah and I know that I will be happier for doing so. Once on the trail I found my happy place and finished my normal 4.1 mile walk. Sometimes just getting out of the door is the hardest part of the day.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day! Keep up the good work and remember to keep taking those steps towards health. You've got this!4 -
Great job team on making the leaderboard this week!!! Let’s do great things for week 4!!!3

Nope, if I had said "I love you so, I'd walk a hundred miles to let you know", then it would be a Bad Company reference.
This week, it was a Vanessa Carlton "A Thousand Miles" reference.
There's a lot of songs that reference walking, and I'm taking full advantage

June Week Four
Weigh In Day: Thursdays
PW (Previous Weight): 167.4 (June 17th)
CW (Current Weight): 167.0 (June 24th)
LTD (Loss to Date): 67 lbs
Weight isn't budging as much as I'd like, but I'll take what I can get. Besides, I've definitely started stress eating recently, and I'm not a fan of how it makes me feel.
Food:
As mentioned above, I've been stress eating. My parents are going to be in town from tonight through Sunday morning. And if you haven't read any of my long rant-y posts about them (you're very lucky), just understand that they are very my-way-or-the-highway folks. I've gone out of my way to make sure I look perfect and polished for the wedding we're attending on Friday for a family friend, despite the fact that I'll know very few people there, and despite the fact that the bride-to-be and I haven't had a conversation in years.
It's also been a busy week for my social calendar in general, with several birthday dinners for a friend, several goodbye hangouts for another friend who is leaving the area to pursue the next step of her medical career in Philadelphia, and not a lot of time to go grocery shopping to restock my fridge with healthy options.
All that being said, I've lost 2 lbs this month, and that's an accomplishment, and I will not diminish that merely because I know I'm not doing the best I've ever done.
Exercise:
I'm back on my standard weekly routine: 4-5 spin classes, 4 functional training classes. It's been working well for me, even if I had to take a spin class with the instructor who doesn't like me very much (he was subbing for another instructor - I'm usually pretty good about making sure we don't cross paths just to avoid potential awkwardness).
At some point, I'm going to start tracking which weights I use for which exercises so I can more adequately see my progress, but for now, I'm doing everything based on feel, and the intuitive nature of it has been great for me.
Mindset:
Most of my times of struggle manifest from time I spend with people who stress me out. When I was younger, it was my parents. As I got older, it shifted to be people who caused drama to appear around them, or people who manipulate others for their own intents, or... well, my parents. Some things never change.
I have a plan for how I'll tackle dinner with them tonight, lunch with my parents and my dad's sister (and her husband and children) tomorrow, the wedding in the evening, the entire day of activities on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. I know I have the right tools to get me through without taking too hard of a hit, it's just a matter of if I can get my brain in the right place for it.
Next week will be smooth sailing, and I can't wait. Maybe July is my month.5 -
