It’s the 15th of the month, the day we all know as the day @rangerickL would ask us to share our latest non-scale victories. Hope you all have good ones to share.
I’m willing to go first. In the summer, we spend time at a 7th floor condo, and between harness walking the cats (not allowed in elevator), and politely leaving the elevator to others due to COVID, I have done a lot of stairs. Well, they are much easier this summer than they were last summer. That’s my July NSV. Also, I never shared one for June, but I intended to write that I actually bought a bathing suit, liked it and wore it in public.

"Don’t give up! Just keep on pushing yourself and give your body a chance, it'll surprise you in a way you would never imagine it could. You'll one day look back and thank your past-self for not giving up."
My biggest NSV is that in spite of all stress with sorting out our belongings, throwing something, giving something for charity, packing, going to the office – I AM STILL HERE. I log in all my food and stay within the set limits. I do my workouts every day, although my runs are not so impressive at the moment. Today I managed only 4.2 km and it was a snail-rescue mission rather than a run… There were so many of them today on the road. I myself was also like a snail (7:11 min/km). But the important thing – I DID IT. And I don’t count all my moving around the house: from the basement to the 2nd floor. From yesterday I lost further 700g… Much too much. Actually, I don’t want to lose anymore. My all clothes are already falling under “Oversize Style” category. It is not so critical in case of shirts, blazers and so on, but pants and skirts are falling down without stopping on the hips. But before we move, nothing new comes into my wardrobe

Yes under by 90 today. Yes tracked and yes just 20 min walk carrying bub and hoping to do a quick stretch b4 bed.
Nsv: I no longer use my pass days as an excuse to stuff my face, in fact i try not to use them at all but wen i do use them i only go over calories slightly.
Nsv: Eating more calories without feeling guilty and being comfortable to take the slow and steady approach.
Nsv: Hve increased my weights over the last 2 weeks and started walking and stretching again this week.
Night team! Xox

@donna25trinity Thank you for NSV idea I have bought 2x7kg dumbbells. The previous were 2x5 kg. What makes me now wondering: how did I manage to schlepp around 26 kg , while these14 kg is still a challenging weight9
-
@SModa61 LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your NSV's! Both of them! But the one about buying yourself a cozzie AND LIKING it! AND WEARING it in public!!! That made me smile! (Thanks @donna25trinity , I'm gonna start using that word!)3

I like scuba diving and any kind of device to be on the water. Otherwise I haven’t been in a pool, a lake, the ocean just swimming in over 20 years. I was in a pool 2x when my grandson was here earlier this month - for a loooong time! It was the first time I didn’t feel like everyone was watching me and commenting. I think I’m still scarred from high school when some on the basketball team called me thunder thighs. I have decided this is me - and I don’t really care what anyone may think anymore. I’m 56 and I’m living my lifetime best I can.15

My NSV:
I'm no longer tired every day all day.. I have gained so much more energy!12 -
NSVs befofe I forget them, because I never can remember the ones I thought of when it’s time to post about my day at the end of the 15th 🤦🏻♀️
- I’m stronger. I now only do push-ups on my toes (not knees), my kettlebell swings are up to 50lbs, my sumo squats are up to a 50lb kettlebell, and I did Romanian deadlifts with a 80lb kettlebell the other day - which I could have gone higher on but that was the heaviest one in the room.
-like SModa61 I actually now own a bathing suit I like and I will wear outside of my house when people outside of my family are in our pool.
- I’ve been going sleeveless in public this month; which I have never done (I am the queen of summer cardigans) but I finally don’t hate my arms enough to suffer through wearing a sweater when it’s 95 out. The arms still need work, but they’ve improved a lot.
- I fell into a funk that historically would have made me throw in the towel mid June, and I pulled myself out of it with minimal scale damage done and here I am ready to go again.
Huzzah!
Will be back for daily report later.15 -

NSV. Well I have been trying to figure out but I think it's mostly that I came up with a different strategy for when I used my pass day this month. LOL. Instead of just writing it off and continuing on I decided to spread the excess forward over the next week instead without restriction or roller coastering. It took a little diligence but I can see how a weekly strategy could work for folks. I think it would have been better to have spread it backwards if I was planning a overload day due to a celebration, but most of my excess days are completely unplanned.12 -

Exercise – yes – bike ride 40 minutes plus cardio.
Tracked – yes
Calories – yes with 200+ to spare.
Pass days – too many to count, but I enjoyed the vacation.
NSV – can’t think of any right now.

This was a nice topic to shift my focus today which started out a bit more gloomy after discovering I had been developing mild symptoms of plantar fasciitis over the last couple weeks. I've never had it before so I didn't recognize it as such.
On the upside it is a mild enough case that I mostly ignored whatever was causing a little pain in the front part of my heel when I got up each morning until yesterday when I noticed it upon standing up after sitting at my desk all afternoon. On the downside PF is generally considered the 12 headed hydra of running injuries. I'm not sure if I am facing certain doom from an emerging giant or if I am facing a tiny and easily defeated version of this creature. 🤪 I'm just going to evaluate it day by day (particularly each morning) while also adopting recovery strategies immediately into my routines to curb it as quickly as possible.
Heck, maybe discovering it early like this is a NSV. 🤔
Honestly though my NSV is just simply keeping focused this month. It has been challenging. It may not show in my posts or my tracking, but this month has been a *kitten* kitten. I'm blessed to have the capability to maintain a lot of focus when I really need/want to, and I'm grateful for that this month. I hope that doesn't come across sounding lame or self-gratifying or anything, I'm just simply happy to have not strayed from any health related activities. A few numeric goals have slipped downwards from some initial expectations, but there has still been good, steady progress all around and that is what I'm happy about, and looking forward to continuing.

As of today, I've been measuring my fasted body - twice a month (the 1st and the 15th) - for a year. These are my NSVs.I was too lazy to take a "hidden face pic" so we're going to have to deal with one from May seeing as I don't take many pics at all, let alone before/after pics 🤷🏾♀️14 -
Yes, yes and yes
Walking.
Feeling kind of under the weather today though I don’t know why. Grateful to come home to my loving husband and dog which seems to help a lot.
NSV This month I signed up for two (future) fitness events after not participating in anything for a very long time. It is good motivation and I feel really excited about this.

Oh I love reading the NSVs! Sometimes we don't even realise that they are NSVs until we stop and think about it.
My biggest NSV recently is being able to wear my engagement ring every day. It's been several years since it's been able to fit my finger comfortably. I'm still working on getting the wedding bands back on as well, but this is a great start! This pic shows my progress up to May, where I could fit the ring on, but couldn't wear it all day as it was still a bit tight. Over the last couple of weeks, I've worn it every day and night!
@WhatMeRunning I suffered with PF for a few months this year, until I started taking some supplements that reduce inflammation and that helps a lot. I was amazed to learn that while the pain was in my foot/heel, it's not actually a foot problem, but a calf and/or glute problem! I make sure to stretch out my calves several times a day and it really helps, and my massage therapist pointed me in the direction of a video that showed some foot mobility exercises that also helped. I hope your recovery is quick!

@TwistedSassette that is a wonderful NSV!
Also thanks for the PF insights. All insights are appreciated. I am looking at some additional exercises targeting calves and even stretches for my feet at the moment all specific to PF

NSV: lost an inch from my waist.
Congrats on everyone's NSVs!
@MaltedTea, congrats however both pics are beautiful.
@WhatMeRunning Proper arch support is needed for PF (along with stretching exercises). I would see a Dr right away, especially since you love running. My chiropractor treated mine - who would've thought? Speaking from experience as my first attack 15 years ago went away - or so I thought. When the pain came back the damage was very severe. Do yourself a favour and don't ignore it.
Yes x 3 today.

NSVs -- I love NSVs. Thank you everyone for sharing such wonderful, inspiring victories! My NSV: I am down one clothing size!7 -
@WhatMeRunning Plantar fasciitis is a bear if you don’t deal with it right away. Calf stretches are crucial. Also NatureMade turmeric definitely helps bring down the inflammation.2
