Let’s have a little fun today (not like we don’t have fun every day!) I really enjoy seeing photos of your hikes, bike rides, ice cream jaunts (and you know who you are), horseback rides, dog walks, etc. So let’s celebrate our active lifestyles by posting photos taken during an outdoor activity. Naps in the hammock don’t count. It doesn’t have to be official “exercise”, it might be pushing a child in a swing, working in a flower bed, or yes, running a marathon - as long as it’s something that your healthy lifestyle makes possible. Try to use one we haven’t already seen. Maybe I’ll award a trophy for the best photo. Or maybe not. We’ll see. Good luck !7

I’ll get this started. I’m so glad I’m able to go outside, rake a big pile of leaves, and then jump in them with my grandkids. I want to stay healthy and active so I can continue to play and laugh like this.

Last month my husband and I took my dog out for a canoe ride in Banff on the Bow River. The ability to feel up to these types of adventures is way more possible now. I am down 75 and he is down 60 and we truly have a brand new life together.

Happily charged up these 5-6 story set of stairs at the race track twice for fun without any problem. Would have done more, but was with others 😂🤣😂

Gotta keep up with this little guy, and I think this picture sums it up well. Gardening, swimming (pool in background), and jumping in puddles after the rain. He does nothing slowly. Lol.

I literally take pictures like... never. One, I'm not photogenic, and two, I take crappy pictures. That said, pics in spoiler from my afternoon walk todayI'll start with this side plank selfie...
...It was really hot this afternoon, so I figured if I was going to take a picture of myself I should do it in the first half mile or so before I got too excessively sweaty and nasty looking. You're welcome.
This trail I took this afternoon winds along Mill Creek which is a fairly large tributary feeding into the Kansas River just a few miles ahead, which in turn feeds into the Mighty Missouri just a few miles after that. So there are always a few select spots where you can relax to the sounds of running water.
This particular time of year on this particular path you may find many Brown-Eyed Susans, and you may even find some flowers that look like this...
...they provide some nice flashes of yellow up and down the edges of the trail. It looks like everything else outside of that pretty yellow edging is all just poison ivy and snake bites though.
Well looky here! Someone must have planted this! It's probably an invasive species because it's not yellow. Only yellow flowers grow in Kansas in this time of the summer, everyone knows that!10 -

Walked 1.5, Ran 2.5. I was a wee bit overheated and I started to feel dizzy around 2.4 miles so I decided to walk after 2.5 miles. Seemed like the best choice as far as not face planting.
Have a MRI with contrast tomorrow at 8am. I’m allergic to the contrast for CT scans so I’m a wee bit nervous. Hopefully tomorrow is drama free.

It was so hot today and the course is water logged meaning no carts, no ball roll, lots of sinking of clubs when trying to hit. I’m glad to not have pics - there is no documented evidence of how terribly I played. It was a nice walk though.

Exercise: I got going earlier today and what a great feeling to be done before lunch rather than have it looming over me all day! Weight circuit and 30 minutes of speed work on the treadmill.

@biketheworld Smoky is doing great! He’s a real cuddle buddy! We are lucky to have him!
My husband had to go out of town yesterday morning for a work trip that couldn’t be avoided. He drove home and got back at 8 tonight only to leave again in the morning. He’s such a mush when it comes to a helpless animal! One of the many things I LOVE about him!
