My PT said planks are the way to go. I find them very effective. There is a planks group challenge that is inspiring.

@MadisonMolly2017 I have been planking for awhile-3 x 1 minute per day. Maybe I need to up the time but honestly I continue to find 1 minute unpleasant.

@znaoiec Today I added 10 "girls" push ups after each plank and will see where that goes. Good for you for fighting the shoulder injury!

@donna25trinity That's what I am going to try--starting with 10 3 times a day and will see if I have any gain.

@ashleycarole86 once you can do one it's half the battle-you have something to work with!

3 YES day. A quick walk before dinner is all I could muster but it’s something.

@bradkcrew awesome job! That's right about where I'm at with planks. I've been able to do 1 min for a little while now, but can't seem to increase much past that. :disappointed: I don't stress about it, I know it's better than nothing!

@Mrs_Hoffer It has been a few years since I planked regularly and I had just kind of fell off from doing them, thinking they weren't really doing anything for me. Well, when I found how difficult they were to start back up I realized I was wrong, lol.
