Ascending aortic aneurysm and chronic kidney disease stage 3

I retired 2 years ago and was ready to be active and free. Then my doc said I should have wellness exams. They found a 5 cm balloon (aneurysm) in the big blood vessel (aorta) as it leaves my heart. 5 cm is the borderline size for open chest surgery. I felt fine and this diagnosis knocked me on the floor. Been doing all kinds of meds to control my blood pressure with hopes of keeping it from rupturing without a lot of luck. I have a family history of high blood pressure that not been easily controlled with meds. My dad died in the OR during his 3rd triple bypass. So learning I have the family curse of high blood pressure was not elating. I'm scared the aneurysm is going to rupture. I'm seeing a specialist at the Cleveland Clinic next week for the blood pressure and aneurysm.
I did lose 35 pounds on Noom, but in my first 4 months with them, then nothing more for the next 8 months. Just eating 1200 calories or less but not losing. Never did reach my weight goal with that program.
That's my long story. 8 need to lose more weight, tone up the flab I have from the weight I lost and stay alive!
