Why this group?
I created this group for those of us who have been told by our Doctor (or just plain discovered) that strenuous activity is harmful to their bodies. When I was 1st diagnosed with Fibromyalgia I weighed about 165. After my 1st back surgery my Doctor told me to eat lots of Ice Cream, shakes, milk products and other fattening…

Exercise Equipment: What works for you?
What types of exercise equipment does everyone recommend and why? I’ll start. I love my NuStep. I do not love that it cost as much as a used car. :( I do love that it is extremely disability friendly I have a balance disorder. The NuStep has a step through design and a solid grab bar. We also ordered the extra wide seat…

They found a 5 cm balloon (aneurysm) in the big blood vessel (aorta) as it leaves my heart. 5 cm is the borderline size for open chest surgery. I felt fine and this diagnosis knocked me on the floor. “Sedentary” assumes 3000 steps per day

I have had 4 heart attacks over this kind of horrible, painful, frustrating stress and I for one, am not, not, not having another heart attack!!! So let it all out and leave…

Anyone still in this group?
Hi. I've been here before but left and now I'm back. I am disabled due to 5 back surgeries, DDD, and DJD. My right knee is bone on bone with the ACL completely torn for the 3rd time. I am overweight so I am going to try really hard this time to lose weight. My biggest flaw (other than not being able to exercise) is that I…
