Comparing my weight:
Feb 29, 2020 Beginning of COVID: 160
My weight this morning: 159.3
Iβll take it.
OK, I got even more curiousβ¦.
Over the past 569 days, my average
calories in were: 2,199π³
Steps 10,046β€οΈ
Miles 4.55β€οΈ
Sodium 1,896β€οΈ
Fiber 33.8β€οΈ
Protein 86β€οΈ
Sugars 100β€οΈ
Workout cals: 328β€οΈ
Resting cals: 1,605β€οΈ
Active cals: 636β€οΈ

After viewing about 1/2 of the Day 10 HIIT video (with lots of burpees) I don't think I'll be making it up. Pretty sure it would be too rough on my knees with all that hopping up and down. She makes it look so easy but I know it's not. And I'm glad I took the extra day of rest because I was feeling slightly fatigued last week and today I'm not. It's a reminder to listen to my body.9 -

On the topic of the day β I live for the break in the routine that the weekend offers. When I have time to linger over a meal, enjoy taking the time to prepare and share special food and drink that the workweek demands do not allow. Maybe this will change when I am retired? Anyway, I also see some maintainers successfully balance their calories/macros over a longer period than one day to allow this flexibility. Thinking about this now.
1. Tracked it all β
2. Kept within calorie limit? β
3. Moved for 20 minutes or more? β 50 minute walk with the puppy
1οΈβ£ pass day was used on September 4
Keep well everyone,

Yeah, I'm not sure I agree with the premise of making your Saturdays like all your other days. I think it's important to socialize and enjoy celebrations. However, I also need to constantly ask myself, if I am celebrating all the time, is that really a celebration?
I did like the idea some have raised here of making my calories lower on "regular" days and then higher on special days. I am still toying with that idea. For now I have not changed the calorie total but have been trying to stay farther under on regular days (basically not eating exercise calories). No big results so far.4 -

My weekends usually sabotage my entire week. I am working to stay the course everyday. Variety and planning are key for me. If I have a slice of pizza (or 2) I stopped beating myself. This helps me stay on track. I am trying to stay away from the scale and focus on how I feel and get away from the mindset that I βearned a treatβ. For me itβs more important how I think about food. I am trying to find other ways to occupy my time than eating, especially on the weekend.6 -

I don't eat the same on weekends as I do during the week. I start the day with smaller, simple meals that are very filling or very high in protein. I eat two or three of these small meals before noon. This is so I'm not very hungry and have a large calorie allotment left for the afternoon into evening. I try to be flexible to allow for something fun or different for later that day. I do however try to figure out what that will be as soon as possible so that I can budget it into my diary to help guide me in some choices. Some times nothing special or unusual happens and I just eat a dinner similar to what I may eat during the week because I can.

@Jana_2020 - sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate your birthday. Happy Birthday!0
-
I had the day off work and a friend and I went to a beach town 3 hours away to do some hiking and exploring. We also had a lovely dinner on an outdoor patio with a couple of drinks overlooking the lake. It was a celebration of both our birthdays. Although I exercised and logged, I did go over calorie budget today.
All the best to you @Jana_2020 π₯°

I overslept yesterday (9/20) morning and had to drive myself to work, thus missing my walks to/from the bus stop. I also forgot to pull anything out for dinner so made arrangements to meet my daughter (who was having a meltdown day) at a local restaurant that has some really yummy salads. I got the strawberry chicken salad. It was so good! Anyways, I thought I'd take the dog for a walk when we got home to make up for earlier. But, the best laid plans... as they say... My daughter's right hand has been paining her recently. Her pcp thought it might be carpal tunnel, daughter didn't agree and was already making plans to get a second opinion. Yesterday morning, the swelling and redness were bad enough that the neighbor noticed while her dog and Sienna played together. At dinner last night, the pain was bad enough that she was snippy and tearful, on top of her already piss poor mood from her earlier meltdowns. She said the pain was starting to travel up her arm, so asked me to take her to the ER. We were there until after midnight. No walk for me. The xrays were okay, the bloodwork was okay, and the doc wrote a prescription for an ultrasound to rule out blood clots.6 -

@donna25trinity It was horrible! I just started with biking and I found the uphills to be harder than running the same hills...and I probably could have run up them faster than I was chugging!

@jamcnewman You are so sweet and such a positive part of this group! So thank you.
Some of the ladies in one of my other groups got me linked into a free The Balanced Life program for this week to try Pilates. So, tomorrow will be Day 3! I'm more of a yoga girl normally but I am enjoying the change. The instructor is great.1 -
