Good Evening Team π
On January 12 I have an appointment with a Gastroenterologist who will perform a surgical procedure related to my colon: this is follow up procedure from abnormal results from colon testing.
Then later in mid January is my surgery related to Melanoma cancer and re-construction surgery. The Melanoma will be cleared and first have of reconstruction begins. A very complex surgery!
Would appreciated your prayers. Will keep you updated as I know more later! ππ1 -

Update on my Surgery
January 12th I am scheduled for my Colon Surgical procedures which require me to have an anesthetic, they are doing two procedures that day, feel there is a blockage, with previous tests it could be a mass or polyps but they won't know till they do a scope...After they see what it is they will remove it and follow up with a colonoscopy to make sure all obstructions are removed.
This procedure all depends on whether the hospital can receive patients due to many operating rooms closed, not enough beds and not enough Doctors and Nurses to cover patient care due to increased Covid cases here.
Thank you for your love care and prayer support...β€οΈππ€1 -
Praying for your procedure. I have had several polyps removed during prior colonoscopies and have a colonoscopy scheduled the first part of the year. We can support one another as we go through similar procedures. It would be wonderful if the doctors do not find anything! God is the great physician.2

Thank you Linda, please let me know the date of your colonoscopy, thank you... I am hoping my scope and colonoscoy will go forward....trusting for Good Reports for Both of us.....β€οΈπ0

Just want to update you:
I am having my surgical procedures on January 12th at 9:30am having a anesthetic due to having 2 procedures and removal of a mass that is causing obstruction and if polyps found they will be removed also. after scope itβs being followed up with a colonoscopy! They are concerned as with already dealing with cancer they trust it is not colon cancer!
Thanks for your prayers; so appreciated!
I will be away from Wednesday to Fridayβ¦
Susan will watch over the team in my absence!
I will try and sign in on the weekendβ¦0 -
Praying for you, Judith. I too have gone through colonoscopies and polyp removals. They find some every time. Praying yours is not cancer but if so, at least they can treat you for it. I know many bowel cancer survivors, including my sister. They should be able to help! πππ0

I am glad you will have anesthesia with the two procedures. I pray when you wake up after it is over, you will not have any side effects the doctor will have good news. We are prayer warriors for you and you have our total support what ever the outcome.2

Hello to all who know 316Judith
Judith had her surgery on Wednesday where they removed tissue and polyps. Results won't be back for 2-3 weeks
Thursday was a high pain day and her blood pressure also ran high.
Friday was a bit better for her but she needs time to rest and recover.
Judith thinks she will be back at MFP this coming Monday. She thanks all who are praying for her and sends her love to you all.
Get well soon, Judith! I am praying for you. Xxx1 -
Hello my friends. Judith is still in much pain. She tells me she has specialist appointments, both in person and via teleconference, every day for the next week. She may come back to Chat Cafe on Tuesday now and it will take awhile longer for her to regain some stamina. Her biopsy results are not due back for 2-3 weeks so she doesn't know if this, too, is cancer or not.
Please keep her in your daily prayers.2 -
News from Judith: she is still recovering from the colon surgery. They have delayed her the Melanoma and facial reconstruction surgery for another two months, again.π₯
She feels she can come back to chat tomorrow! Easy does it though. I think she will only post in this thread.
Praying for her π and sending lots of love ππ1 -

Good Morning Susan and Team
Thank you so much for your encouragement and your faithful prayers. You all are so appreciated in which I thank God!
So sorry it has taken longer for me to get back. I have had a lot of pain and been careful in how much I do as my Blood Pressure has been high too.
I saw my Family Doctor on Wednesday, January 19th. She is very concerned about my weight, 97 pounds and as low as 95 pounds since surgical procedures.
She is also upset with facial surgery cancelled again for another 2 months. She has referred me to see a Internal Medicine Specialist as she feels more is going on.
I also got a referral back to Vancouver General Hospital regarding the haemorrhoids that were found during colon surgery. They are mostly inward which are causing more issues, they will need to be surgically removed or banded! This is why they are sending me to a surgeon to assess the approach in how to remove.
The pathology report should be back this week. Will keep you posted. Godβs Blessings! β€οΈπ1 -
I am so sorry that they found more problems than you knew about during the procedures. At least you know about it now and it can be treated. If left unattended, the situation could get worse. There can be good come out of really difficult situations.1

Thank you Linda, I leave it in Godβs Hands!
I had my appointment with Dental Surgeon and due to the problems with face and mouth from Cancer I am being referred to a specialized Dental Clinic connected to Cancer clinic who work with my present issues following guidelines from my specialist while providing the best possible dental care while I undergo treatment and surgery!
Thank you for your prayers! Will update you once I know more and get dates of appointments.1 -
I ask for prayers for my son-on-laws traveling. He worked all night and left alone this morning from Colorado to go to Texas to attend his father's funeral on Saturday. He will stop tonight to get some sleep so he is breaking up the trip which will help. Their family has not been close so I also ask that their getting together will help strengthen their relationships.1

Judith, thinking of you and praying for you daily1

Thank you Susan for your prayers. I have really needed them past couple of days. Good to be back with you all.
Linda, so sorry I missed this prayer request for your son in law, so sorry to hear of your son in lawβs Fathers death, my condolences and prayers for he and his family. I trust the funeral today ministered and was able to bring the family together, and yes I am praying now that a closer and better relationship will happen for all the family and that healing of relationships will flow amongst them. Believing for a mighty outpouring of Godβs Grace upon your son in law and his family! βοΈπβ€οΈ2 -
Hi Everyone,
Here is the following update:
Oncologist Nurse called just before 5pm checking up on me wondering how I was doing and was thinking I would of had or having surgery this month, I told her it had been cancelled every month since November including February! She was so sorry to hear that π
She also told me I was being referred by my oncologist to the Specialized Dental Clinic at the Cancer Clinic due to my face and mouth issues and when he sees me and has a look at everything he will put the order in then with his recommendations.
I will keep you updated as I know more.
Thanks for your prayers π2 -

Good Morning All, π
It came to my attention today I hadnβt given you the update from the results of my Colon Surgical
Procedures I had. Here is the report: a lot to take in but so appreciate all your prayers! π
The pathology report came back as the polyps are the kind that always come back and usually several of them at a time and are cancerous and will spread especially if not removed. I have to be followed up with regular colonoscopies to locate and remove the polyps.
They won't do a gastroscope again (thankfully) unless they see signs and symptoms that warrant it. They are following me up in 1 to 2 years for another colonoscopy. They need to remove the polyps ongoing to keep on top of it.
My Gastroenterologist also has referred me to another surgeon at VGH as they found haemorrhoids while doing the procedure that are all inward and are bleeding, they have to be removed. The surgeon will decide the best way to remove them.
I will keep you updated as I get appointments and when next dates for procedures and surgeries will be. ππ1 -
Judith, that's such good news! Those conditions can be managed! Praise the Lord for His infinite goodness and mercy.
Now we can just concentrate on praying about what is needed for your face. I'll keep doing that for you, my friend.
I am just so pleased that they did not find anything sinister.
Big hugs!1 -
Hello Everyone,
As most of you know by now, this week has been a challenge with yet another delay which has caused me discouragement and frustration:
I spoke to my Surgeon earlier in week and received the following news. Not what I was hoping to hear!
I learned that in spite of numbers coming down there is still a high number of Covid patients in hospital which is preventing many of the surgeries from moving forward.
I was also told since I require 2 or more days stay in hospital the office has been told they canβt book surgery for anyone who requires more than 1 day stay until more O.R. space and hospital beds are freed up which means I am in limbo again with no surgery booked in February or March and donβt know when it can be scheduled next.
In all this I am trying to stay strong and brave but admit through this latest disappointment I have been frustrated and discouraged.
I know God Loves me and He is filling me with His Strength and Peace! He will see me thru.
Thank you for your continued prayers as I navigate thru this latest delay! πβ€οΈ1
