Good Evening All
As you know I posted Monday’s appointment so you know what is happening with the enlarged Lymph Glands and Salivary Glands my Head and Neck Surgeon and Oncology Team will keep a close watch over that area very closely.
Thursday I saw my Facial Cranio Surgeon and he removed the tissues and skin from lower face. He checked my neck and said he felt the enlarged and swollen Lymph Glands and Salivary Glands. He said he is putting me back on the 2 week schedule and will remove the diseased tissues and skin and check the Lymph Glands each time he sees me. I am back for further procedures on June 26th.
Friday I saw 2 Specialists at Cancer Clinic; They took scans and said to continue on with the same treatment I am on. The medication my Oncologist has been trying to get me on that Pharmacare won’t cover was denied again. Friday he said he will put another report in and hopefully it will get approved this time. I asked him if he would consider prescribing another treatment if we are denied again. He firmly said No as all the other treatments were not successful. I am to keep on with the same Medication and Treatment schedule and will report back to him in 2 months to see how I have responded. I am disappointed about my Oncologist not willing to look at another option if Pharmacare deny the medication treatment again; there must be something else he could try. I have even considered looking at requesting a second opinion.
I see my Neurologist on July 31st as it marks the 3 month schedule I see them. Thinking of asking them about a 2nd opinion on my situation. It’s now coming up 2 months since they ordered a CT Scan. Our health care system is so far behind in getting patients in for CT Scans and any other Scans Specialists are ordering. Please pray I will hear from them soon, thank you.
I see the Dental Oncology on June 23rd regarding my Jaw and Mouth issues. Will look at possible surgery to correct the Jaw malfunction due to multiple cancer surgeries so it will function properly again. The Surgeon will examine the inside of mouth and determine what needs doing.
From the 3 appointments with Scans, examinations and procedures my face mouth and lips are extremely sore. My lips actually are burning and very uncomfortable.Appreciate your prayers for Wisdom for my Specialists and for healing. God Bless you!

Oh Judith, thank you for your updates. I would be thinking about second opinions too. Praying about your pain and discomfort, the medical system, and for wisdom for you and your team. Hugs.
Please also pray for JC. I know she is not well and is in pain. She is having trouble sleeping.

Eli with his healing from a T & A. Tonsil and adenoids. He threw up first night home . Yesterday was better. I can’t remember n how long my throat hurt. But i know it will get better. Thank you for praying. Surgery was Wednesday. 6/17.

Thank you Susan for posting a prayer request for me (JC)…I am still in need of prayer for body pain and the ability to walk again and use stairs as well as a good night sleep…thank-you! Although I am not writing out the prayers as in the past…I want you to know I continue to pray for all of you. I keep a list of requests I see posted here on the bottom of my screen of names and appointments to the best of my ability. I love reading your updates. Praise Him.
Our Father knows each of you and your loved ones by name. Amen❤️🙏

JC, I want you to know you have been on my heart a lot the past few weeks and was about to text you asking how you were doing. Now I know, God is so good: He places burdens on our hearts for a reason and even though I hadn’t penned the prayers I was praying here please know you have been prayed for in my times of prayer in my home as I lift you and others in prayer! I now will pray for God’s Will be done, for encouragement, for healing and strength that God will remove all pain from your body and restore strength to your legs so you can walk and climb stairs again in Jesus Name I pray, Amen! ♥️🙏✝️

JC - even though we are from different time zones, countries and continents, we all serve the same

I have some updates from my appointments I had from June 9th, 13th and 14th, June 23rd and June 26th
On June 9th I was seen by my Head and Neck Surgeon along with his Fellow Oncology Surgical Assistant and a Resident all in the same Clinic. The Ultrasound showed changes all through the Neck area with the Lymph Glands enlarged and the Salivary Glands are enlarged & swollen, the Right Lymph Gland is enlarged also. They will see me ongoing about every 6 months, but if my other specialists see or feel any changes I will be brought in quickly for the Surgeon to do further testing. I was to,d because of my complications of Melanoma I have to be watched closely.
On June 13th and June 26th I saw my Cranio-Facial Surgeon and he removed the Diseased Tissues and Skin on Lower Face and Lips. June 14th I saw my Oncologist, my face and mouth were scanned and neck examined. I was told to continue on with the Chemotherapy Meds. I will be seen in 1 month for further followup.
On June 23rd I saw a Surgeon at the Dental Oncology who did scans of the face and inside of mouth, checked the Lymph Glands and Nodes and also took pictures of all the Diseased Tissue and Skin on Lower Face and Lips, there was some diseased tissue and skin on upper face as well which pictures were taken as well. I was told that the Surgeon I saw was taking the pictures they took and the results of their scans and was going to have a meeting with my Oncologist. The Dental Clinic specialist said I needed another approach to my treatment and they would discuss it all with my Cancer Oncologist. In the meantime I continue to use the chemotherapy meds and was given a referral to be seen by an Oral Dental Oncologist. Right now nothing is being done with my Jaw or Mouth until I see the Oral Oncologist on July 23rd.
I would appreciate your prayers as you can see there is a lot going on. I have given it all to Jesus as He is the Great Physician. I know I will get through this as I know the Lord will walk me through it all.day by day and step by step giving me His Strength and His Grace. His Grace is Sufficient for me and His Strength is made Perfect in Weakness.Thank you for your Friendship & Support, your Kindness and all your Prayers in which I thank God. You all are so appreciated.

Thank you JC for all your prayer and support. My prayers are with you and hope things are better from the last time you posted, you had asked that we keep praying for you, you were still experiencing Body pain, not sleeping well and were hoping to have the ability to walk and climb stairs again. JC I lift these requests up to God and pray for healing that your legs will be strong so you can walk and do stairs, praying that all pain be gone from your body in Jesus Name, Amen!
Here is my update from Tuesday July 8th appointment with my Neurosurgeon!
This was an intense appointment. He is concerned about the Nerve Damage from the Cancer and all the surgeries that have caused further damage to the Nerves on the Face and Neck.I have experienced Pain from the Neck that radiates down the arm to hand causing tingling all through the arm and numbness this past year. My strength in the right hand has been compromised also. What is concerning is I am right handed and need full use of my hand for writing and so many others things.
As most of you know I have been waiting on a CT Scan my Neurologist ordered and that was 2 months ago. The surgeon on Tuesday is quite upset that the CT Scan has not been done. He said he needs to see an updated Scan and once that is done he needs to order a number of Nerve tests, he said the Ultrasound and CT Scan show the nerve damage but they don’t show other things the other tests do. There might be a need for injections to the neck and other procedures. However, first he has to compare all the test results from previous scans and the newest Scan I am still waiting on to gather enough information to make a correct diagnosis on what is causing the numbness and the pain that appears to be originating from the neck that radiates down the right arm to hand so he can treat it. He told me he will do everything possible he can do to help me.
He has taken note that besides the Nerve Damage from Cancer and Treatment, the Scans showed enlarged Lymph Glands and Salivary Glands on Left and Right side of Neck. I have been instructed to continue on with the treatment of removing diseased Tissue and Skin and keep up with present medication.Thank you for your prayers. I will keep you updated as I am able. Bottom line: God is a Good God and He is the One who gives me Strength and who brings Healing to my body. Amen, Praise the Lord! ❤️🙏

Thank-You for your update, Judith! I was glad to read that you have a “surgeon quite upset”…he will be an advocate for you "behind the scenes" is my hope and prayer. Our God is holding you, His princess. Not many could withstand the painful treatments you have been undergoing for so long and still be a strong believer and prayer warrior.
I keep your “dates” on the bottom of my screen entitled “Judith”. Have you ever read the Biblical meaning of your name? "when you see the name Judith, it evokes not only the literal meaning of "praised" or "woman of Judea" but also the heroic image of the biblical figure who demonstrated exceptional bravery and unwavering faith, according to biblical sources” In my opinion you are a reflection of that Judith!
Thank-You and all the other gals for continued prayers….the pain and disability is still with me…I have an orthopedic appointment next Tuesday…the new doctor’s pic looks like someone who should still be in high school! Oy! His specialty is hips…my problems include feet so I hope he does too! ❤️🙏

Please pray for my middle daughter, Amy. Her close friend found out that she had stomach cancer a year ago, had treatment and was in remission up to a week ago. Now the doctor says it has spread to her spine and she had 4-6 weeks to live. She was admitted to Hospice yesterday. She has a son the age of my daughter's son (13 years old) and a son that is 15. My daughter has been in close contact with her during all her health issues and will be at her house tomorrow. Pray that she had the words of comfort that are needed as well as she deals with her own grief of loosing her good friend so early in life. Of course, we also know God is in control and doctors do not have all the answers correctly. He could heal her if that is his will.

Linda, I am so sorry to hear this, my prayers are with this dear friend who has just received this news of cancer returning. Praying for God’s Will be done and for her healing. Lifting up your daughter as she heads out to be with her friend. I know God will bring strength and help Amy with the right words to share with her friend and with her children. May Amy bring Words of Comfort to her friend and her children.
