We're fine, Judith. The sun has solar storms that cause the northern and southern lights. All of us on Earth are in the path of solar storms, you as well. The only way you know they are happening is when you see the northern or southern lights.
Yesterday we had heavy rain and thought these greeny bits might be a hailstorm, but hail didn't happen. The rain came in bands like this for a few hours, once it started.
Today we might get some more rain.

Judith, I want you not to worry about solar storms. The Lord made the Earth with powerful magnetic fields to protect us from them. You can see.more information here if you like. Just copy and paste this link:

Thank you Susan. I do know some things about our Solar System but with my University Education it was mainly Focusing on Nursing and Bible College. I didn’t spend a lot of time studying the Solar System, just the basics of the Sun and 8 planets etc one gets in Secondary School. My Granddaughter is studying to be an Engineer and is focusing on Aeronautics Engineering! Is your background in Astronomy? Thank you for the link! It’s wonderful how the Lord God made the World!
Today in my area the temps were on the cooler side, a high of 48 degrees and a low of 41 degrees. We had Rain 🌧️ all day! And it was very Cloudy ☁️

No, I didn't formally study astronomy, Judith, but I am eternally curious about many, many things. I love finding explanations like that one. I had to research and prepare every night for my 20 year teaching career with adults (I supervised adult offenders and staff for 20 years before that and managed the office. I always had to learn about new things there too. People can sure surprise you in all their different combinations and interests. My university studies were always about figuring out what each lecturer wanted us to say! They didn't encourage much lateral thinking, but that's how my brain actually works and is happiest. I love thinking about 'what ifs', logical progressions, finding out how things work....

awesome and with my Biblical Studies Nursing Teaching and working for a Pastor in Ghana, I too learned and had to research and learn that part of the work! I built their website managed and looked after the Pastors in the Region who were conected to him I did that a number of years then when my Leadership at the Church took over my time I had to leave that part of the Ministry. So we have more in common that you knew of. I also took courses with a Prison Fellowship from Winnipeg Manitoba. I was going to go onboard to encourage New Believers and Mark and Grade their Bible Study material. I completed the course but at the time I knew God was calling me into my Local Church Ministry so did not pursue further!
And that remains today, I still teach Bible but with Cancer Complications I am not able to be as active as I once was.
Thank you for sharing! ♥️
Today our Temps were a high of 50 degrees and a low of 44 degrees with Cloudy ☁️ Skies!

Wonderful to know some more of your background, Judith. Thank you for sharing.

You are welcome Susan, it’s so nice that we both can share our backgrounds in which we learn from each other. I have learned much from you Susan. You are a great blessing to me but to us all here on our Team!
Today, we had 90% of rainfall in our area; the forecast was right on target! Temps of 52 degrees and a low of 46 degrees in our immediate area! I basically stayed indoors and kept warm. The rain had made our homes very damp!

Judith, I am so glad we 'met' all those years ago on SparkPeople. You really created a lovely community there and of course, here, too. I have learned much from you as well. Xx

Susan, I am so glad I met you, Linda, Marilyn, Barb and JC and a few others. We have had such a wonderful friendship. God has truly blessed us. My life has been enriched with your friendship!
Today our weather has been about the same for our temps. However the biggest change was we had mostly clear skies! And Temps of 45 degrees for our high and low of 37 degrees. So nice to see a clear sky free from grey/black cloudy skies.1 -

We woke to loud thunder claps and rain. It's not supposed to rain heavily all day but for the past hour it has been coming down pretty steadily.

Stay warm and dry, Judith! I'll be seeking the cool. We have a heat wave happening this week.
1 -
Susan, please be safe, hope you can put your AC and fans on to stay cool. 🙏
Thankfully the Heavy rains stopped and we are safe. My yard was pretty soggy this morning but it’s fine now, Temps are 42 degrees and lows are 39 degrees.
Forecast says colder temps and rain is back. Tomorrow’s high is 43 degrees with lows of 36 degrees!

Yes, So far so good, Judith. The heatwave continues and we had a wind, rain and hail storm yesterday. Apart from a big pot plant that blew over, we were fine. The plant wasn't even damaged. Neighbours did have a shade screen on their patio ripped off though.
I'm glad you are safe after your big rain.

Susan I am happy you are ok so far but see you are still under the heat warning in your area, will continue to keep you in prayer! It’s amazing how sometimes when a plant falls over in a windstorm it doesn’t get damaged but another time when it is gently tipped it smashes to pieces. So sorry your neighbour’s shade screen was ripped off in the storm. Hoping you all stay safe rest of the week. We are fine here, no flooding but we need to be mindful and watch as today we had mega rain and forecast says it is raining from here Monday right thru to Saturday. And the temps are in the low 40’s for our daytime high’s and mid to low 30’s for our evening temps. A lot of rain and low cold temps!
Today temps were a High of 43 degrees and 37 degrees for our lows! With Heavy Rainfall! 🌧️

Stay safe and dry and warm, Judith. I hope your home is your sanctuary right now.
The heat wave continues but they have it much worse inland. Yesterday here was hot and muggy and overnight we had thunder, rain, lightning and wind. More of the same is predicted for today. The 'feels like' temperature is several degrees celcius higher than indicated.

yes Susan my home is my sanctuary! I am comfortable here and enjoy my place and what Christmas decorations I have up now! be safe my friend! Trusting these storms will pass quickly for you and the heat will cool down for you!
Today we had Rainfall 🌨️ with Wind Gusts 💨 of 14 km/h our temps were a high of 42 degrees and lows of 39 degrees

Glad to hear that, Judith 🩷
The heat wave and storms continue here. I believe the brunt of these rain bands hits heaviest in New South Wales but we also get destructive conditions here. No one knows just where each storm will hit.
