Wow, October sure has flown by!! Do you realize that Christmas is in 55 days? Yikes!
I believe that we had 21 brand new people sign up for the UAC in October, and only 5 are still posting as of this last week. We're SO GLAD that y'all have stuck with it!
And our @bradkcrew, who joined the UAC in August, has now completed Aug, Sep AND Oct with 0 Pass Days!!!!
You are a ROCKSTAR!!! Huge Congrats to YOU! ππ₯³
@lovingcaring who is a new member this month is finishing October with 0 Pass Days!! Whoo Hoo!! Congrats to you as well! That's no easy task!! ππ₯³
In fact, I believe that we have 4 people who are soooo close to finishing the month of October having used 0 Pass Days!!
What a HUGE accomplishment!!

Calling Oct a wrap. A pretty decent month! Happy Halloween everyone.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes quite happy with a Personal best 10K this morning. Weather was perfect.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
Always trying to figure out what type of macros / woe will help my running. This past week I added some basic protein in the form of tuna/chicken to a few meals. I know that my protein intake even with specifically trying is never as high as it probably should be. So we shall see. I did feel strong and energetic on my run today but it could also just be the weather.
I wanted to comment on the whole blood work/ keto discussion from yesterday but I have never done keto so difficult to chime in on that specifically. I do want to say that folks who are focusing on BP and blood work are on a good path. Maintaining since 2017 but quite unhappy with my bloodwork in 2019. I didn't pull it in 2020 but I made a conscious effort to change what I was eating to try to reduce my bp and cholesterol #s. So. guess what You can be a great weight and workout a lot and BMI good and you can STILL have sliding stats.
The biggest change for me was cutting out the PINT of halo top or enlighten or artificial ice creams. That seemed to almost cut the trigllycerides in half. Lord knows what is really in that. I still have some but I no longer have a lot of it. And I bounced up my fruit intake significantly. I think that my #s are high due to some heredity for total ch but keeping the total ratio is the best I can do. It will be interesting to see if continuing on this path leads to even better blood work. I was only on it about 90 days before this year's bloodtest.
As far a BP. Stress seems to really trigger mine as well as lack of good sleep. Running helps to reduce it but oh yeah, give me a dentist or vet appt and there is nothing to get it to drop...

@SummerSkier So interesting that cutting out the Halo/artificial ice creams cut your triglycerides in half. A friend brought some Halo over for dessert this summer; I'd never tried it before. I thought about buying some but figured with my binges, better for me not to have it in the house until I can exercise some self control. Thnx for sharing, it's good to know. I think I'll steer clear of it.
@snowshoe072 It is a happy Halloween when all the temptations are gone lol.
@TerriRichardson112 Good job on saving the day by boogie-ing π
Congrats to all who were Winners or Champions or those who tried hard! π
Yes x 3 for me today with only 3 pass days in October.6 -

Wow, can't believe another month has wrapped up! Thanks for the shout out @Mrs_Hoffer. I am about 90% sure I am going to take a pass day for Thanksgiving. Unless I want to endure a family intervention, best to leave the food scale and measuring cups at home. Plus, hopefully I can prove to myself that I can get right back on track the next day.

I hope everyone had a very Happy Halloween, especially all the kids out there. Today particularly I'm recalling how much fun this holiday always was to me growing up, and with my older children, now grown. It can be such a fun day and night!
There's not much point reviewing my month according to my initial goals based on how it went down, one giant miss on most counts but not due to going off track really. I am very pleased though with how I have come out of October. On to November!
Congrats to all of October's Winners and Champions!4 -

Another pass day! I am really not ending the month strong.
I did get a lot of walking in with trick-or-treating. And I also did a 15 minute MommaStrong exercise video in the am. But I didn't track my food and I didn't plan what I was going to eat and I wound up eating too much and eating a lot of Halloween candy.
Today I am going to the doctor for my GI Issues, so hopefully I get some clarity on what's going on and what I should be eating.2 -
