@themedalist , that's great. I certainly haven't met my goal, so I'm willing to walk a few more days to get to Florence.3

@themedalist Thank you for working up the mileage on the way to Florence and posting all the lovely photos. Too funny about our recent 'side trip' 😁😂😋.
Yesterday evening I read through everyone's posts. It was fun meeting those who are new here and to read what is going on with everyone else. I so enjoyed reading the posts that the time flew by, and before I knew it it was time to go to sleep 😴.
I'm going to enter my miles for October. I had already had them totaled and figured out before I read the above dates. But since it won't matter in the end I'm not going to do the math again 😵.
October 1st through October 31st mileage is 13 miles. (walking outside and jogging on the rebounder) for the Walktober challenge.
I was finally able to try walking on our cul-de-sac again in September! I was happy to have been able to manage 5.5 miles! In October I also added in segments of "jogging" on the rebounder to also get some gentle on the joints cardio in. I can also count those 'jogging" miles in addition to the outside miles for this challenge. Then I will most likely return to keeping track by minutes again.
Next weekend I'll post November 1st through the 5th mileage.
Happy walking y'all 🤠🌺7 -

Hello, I have a whopping 7 miles to contribute, from Oct 27 to today.
Thanks to this challenge, I actually got my Fitbit out, charged, app downloaded onto thIs phone and synced to MFP - so that was incredibly valuable and got me moving in the direction of daily activity! 🙃
I do hope we make it to Florence - I enjoyed our little side trip 😁4 -
@Ladybug8882021, it’s not the mileage that’s important. We set a goal and we worked at it together. THAT’S what’s important. You moved us closer to Florence…thank you for that!
We will get to Florence! And I am thrilled that our Walktober walk helped you build the habit of daily activity!3 -

I should have added to please post your miles no later than Sunday morning. It takes me a while to create a new map and if I don’t do it tomorrow afternoon it will have to wait till next weekend.
Thanks!

Yes, we have reached our Walktober destination of Florence, Italy! We have walked almost 1000 miles over the last 5 weeks (and well over 1000 miles if we count last week’s Bologna expedition!) and we are now in beautiful Florence!
This was truly a team effort! Thank you to @jamcnewman @Ladybug8882021 @MadisonMolly2017 @Mrs_Hoffer @PackerFanInGB @TerriRichardson112 @texasgardnr and @77tes who all added miles to our Walktober effort, moving us closer and closer to Florence.
We needed 300 miles in order to get to our destination: in this last stretch we walked 305.3 miles. Every single one of us was vital to our success!
Now that we are in Florence, there is so much to do and see! Here are some interesting facts about Florence:
