Welcome to the team @kdblpn ... looking forward to getting to know you! Feel free to introduce yourself and let us know how we can help you on your journey!
@jugar @PlaneMonkey
Those are tough situations... it's so great we have this group to bounce ideas off each other. Just hearing what everyone is going through is so helpful.
Well workday number 1 of the week is under my belt! Off to ride the bike.4 -
Welcome @kdblpn !!
Man, did I mess up today - I forgot to set my alarms for the week!! And I am still feeling the effects of my early day Thursday and late night Friday, so I slept until 8:54am! No morning walk for me, and a scramble to get online for work. Ugh. But I added in dance cardio right after work was done to make up for some lost steps, and I walked to get my haircut just now! Feels great to get a few inches off.
I do wish it was going to be a less rainy week, and maybe it will move on by Saturday, when I am trying to do a corn maze with all my visiting friends for the birthday. Although, the overcast skies will add a seasonally-appropriate spooky vibe.5 -
@kdblpn
You are officially among our heroes even before you begin! Your starting weight was 418 and you now weigh 316? Yes. You are amazing already. We will love having you aboard to inspire people and (I hope!) to be inspired to continue your journey. There may be still a lot to lose, but you have hit a few big milestones already. Under 300 by the end of the year? Maybe! Or slow but steady, getting there quietly and safely? Maybe that too - we love any path that helps you get where you want to be.
Don't hesitate to introduce yourself, think about your goals as you join our lovely little group here, and ask all the questions that may be in your mind. Welcome!!5 -

I think we are on the same wavelength today. I forgot to put on my step tracker, and then it was really rainy so I did not take as long a walk, and then I opted to go shopping with my dad and step-mom rather than continue walking and working out, and well. the day is shot. So a haircut sounds real good right about now!!!4 -
Busy day here at my house. My granddaughter was here all day. No nap. Hardly stops moving. She had fun playing with her mom’s now vintage dolls. I am a saver and she has enjoyed all the toys I’ve saved. She thinks magic happens in my attic as I bring down new to her toys. Wait till she can read and sees my thousand+ children’s book collection up there from teaching.
Anyway, I will have her all week for now on. I’m going to be exhausted. I have logged and was under. Still need a few hundred more steps today. But I did do my Pilates early before she arrived. Pretty happy about that.

After a rough weekend, I would say I started the week off right. I did a morning meditation, got in my workout, logged and came in under my calories, but my protein was a little low.
@kali225 I got my hair cut this weekend, too. I actually cut a lot off, maybe 10 inches? I needed a change.
@micki48 I was just thinking about what I will do with all of my books when I retire because I have a lot of doubles - one at home, one in my classroom. I think I might send them home with my students my last year teaching.7 -
Today was a good day. Woke up later than I wanted to, but I was tired and couldn't get myself out of bed. I had a presentation to do at work in the morning and once that was done I felt a huge weight lift from my shoulders. Weather is staying decent yet so our lunch time walk with the dog was pleasant enough. As soon as worked ended I got right down on the Peloton and rode before making our healthy supper. We are now unwinding before bed.
Brad will be travelling for work quite a bit over the next month, so I'll miss him for sure. It will be harder on him to be the one away - out of routine. But, with our healthy habits established I know there is success to be had no matter what.
I saw 199.8 a couple days ago - it was a temporary moment and I'm back in a low 200's number but I'm knocking on the door! Still hoping to be entering my 35th year in a week starting with a 1

Hello everyone!
Had a good weekend full of rest, workouts and checking things off the list. Took today off work to get the kids in for flu shots. I promised the kids take out after their shots. They picked a burger place we don't go to ever. I messed up my calories by wrongly assuming the calories were similar to our usual burger place. I was terribly wrong! Soooo many more calories. Oh well, won't do that again. I did a short pilates workout this afternoon.
My 10 year old son has been deer hunting the past week or so and he got a deer tonight! He was very excited and I was happy to see those long hours of hunters ed and gun safety pay off. I am always glad to see hunting season end because it gets old working dinner in around hunting outings. Late night getting the deer prepared. A few more late nights to finish up and get everything packaged and in the freezer.5 -
Tuesday Weigh-In

I slept so much better and on schedule last night. This weather is a downer but my morning walk was mostly not raining on me! Happy with this week's loss after the chunk last week - but don't hold me to it for next week, since I have fri/sat/sun activities for birthday & Halloween that are sure to add water weight/bloat. I have a goal in mind for pre-Thanksgiving that I think is reasonable so we'll start working towards that once the big weekend is over.
@KellyBgetsfit 10 inches!! Wow! Might be time for a new profile pic for us to see....?6 -
@conleywoods Congrats to your son on his deer... assuming this is his first?
@Kali225 Great weigh-in this week, way to go! Looking forward to living vicariously through you this weekend
Morning Peloton ride is done as well as a 20 minute walk... love clearing my head before I get into the work monster!
Enjoy the day all.5 -

Hey everyone!! Just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. My name is Kim. I am 48 and live in North Carolina. I had a cardiac arrest in June while working out at the gym. I was cleared for cardiac rehab this week. I have to wear a cardiac monitor when I workout but it sure feels good to be back in the gym. I currently weigh 315 (as of this morning), down from 418. I eat low carb, low calorie, and take lots of vitamins. My goal weight for now is 200 and I want to be below 300 by Christmas. I look forward to meeting you all.7

Hi all, wanted to introduce myself as well. Im a proud mamma of 3 great kiddos! At 44 I still feel like I should be able to accomplish the goals of 21, but my body disagrees. I am from small town USA where everyone knows your business as well as each pound lost and gained. I am addicted to sugar on a major scale, I am a runner at heart healing from a surgery that has prevented me from doing so for a while. My goals are to find myself and to be happy with her! I don't want to see a number on a scale but feel more fit, more flexible and more proud of the choices I am making to nourish my body. I am excited to have some backup although I don't fully understand the workings of this challenge yet, hopefully I'll get there. 😊
@kdblpn super inspired by your goal progress!5 -
I had an amazing trip camping and riding four-wheelers with my son. After 5 days I'm only up a few pounds and I'm taking that as a win, it could have been way worse! I took a walk this morning and have had a perfect day to this point so I'm still shooting for a loss Friday.5
-
@gak71 that is totally a win! hope I can mimic your success next week.
@kdblpn wow over 100 lbs down already! incredible, and welcome aboard.
@sljjjembeca those are some great goals, and plenty of support to be found here even if a specific number is not your goal.2
