I was happy to see I can finally order the sugar free Torani syrups on Amazon Japan here, after hearing people rave about them online for years now. I got 3 of the Puremade ones today: vanilla, caramel and hazelnut, enough to last me a year! So I went to the website to see how the nutrition specs work. Vanilla has 9 carbs per 2 tbsp, but 0 calories! howzzat??
I guess I won't worry too much, if I only have 1 tbsp in my keto coffee in the morning.
Then I found their recipe for keto coffee https://www.torani.com/foodservice/recipes/bullet-keto-vanilla-coffee
2 oz (4 Tbsp) Torani Puremade Zero Sugar Vanilla Syrup
1 cup (8oz) brewed coffee
4 Tbsp grass-fed butter
1 oz (2 Tbsp) MCT oil
2 (13.5 oz) can full fat unsweetened coconut milk

I wonder if this recipe was tested by anyone??? lol, disasterpants in the making! No wonder newbies have so much trouble with starting keto with stuff like this out there.

Seems that is cold brew and makes 40 ounces (per the recipe link) but it truly might be disaster pants if someone drank the full recipe before acclimating to MCT oil. :# I agree the recipe is horrid for many reasons. LOL. Wouldn't putting it in the fridge solidify the butter and coconut milk? :o

Here's one that might be a bit better for those folks not quite as experienced with "keto" stuff: https://www.torani.com/recipes/fat-burning-keto-blended-coffee.

It has to label sugar alcohols are a carb but it won't be metabolized. But yea, 600 calories of fat is not a good idea, especially if you are trying to lose fat.
