16th November
Closed my food diary under calories, but then nibbled on smoked salmon and prawns. Barely walked 20 minutes, probably under.

@enlightenme3 Good job on exercising beforehand, these are differences I notice in myself now too - old me wouldn't have even considered that and new me thinks "how can I make this work?" I had a similar type of experience earlier this month when I was donating blood - knew exercising after was out of the question so made sure I got it in first thing. Hope the COVID booster isn't causing too much trouble for you
Did I exercise? Yes, 35 minutes Peloton and 41 minutes walking
Did I track it all? Yes
Did I stay under calories? Yes

What’s the opposite of a NSV? A fail?
I got extra unplanned 15 minutes cycling yesterday. (Not leaving my phone at the supermarket this time.) I set off on my bike up the hill behind my house, circled round down into town, a nice 40 minute ride through the countryside, popped into the little supermarket and picked up some things. Got to the checkout, scanned everything through the self-service till, opened my bag … … no wallet! Had to explain to an assistant, put all my items back in the basket, cycle home, collect wallet and cycle back to collect and pay for shopping.

Happy to report that there is a real reason for the pants being even looser this month — down another 6.6 pounds for a total of 35 pounds GONE since I started on this journey July 1, 2021. 🥰
Amazing work. Xo4 -
✔️✔️✔️
Finished organizing the craft area and have lots of empty bins. Still have the scrap booking stuff to go through. But I may just finish Christmas craft I found in this process 😃. I am feeling so good about the changes I am making in the house. I even emptied the catch all cabinet that housed everything that did not have a place.
Ohhh good for you.i always admire ppl that can deckutter. I keep a super tidy house but I really struggle decluttering.. I just can't seem to throw things out. Xo3 -

@jamcnewman that was a hilarious NSV. And I have been there. It's funny how bad clothes that are too big can make you feel - because of things like falling down! And how great well-fitting clothes can be. That's exciting news about the nutritionist and I hope you weather the storm OK.

@mshawski I didn't realize that your dress 'search' was still going on! But your idea of having a 14 altered to fit your body is an excellent one!
@jamcnewman a blizzard - wowser! I knew you lived pretty far north - but I'm def glad you are able to be safely tucked away at home and not have to go out in it at all!! And yes, it's good to laugh at ourselves!! I actually do that quite often! Lol.
@enlightenme3 I hope you're doing ok and that your booster shot hasn't caused you any troubles.
@lesdarts180 your bicycle ride through town and to the grocer made me smile. I can just picture it and look at the bright side - you got some extra mileage out of that trip!! Lol.2 -

That must be the possible storm they are hinting at for the Adirondacks in NY over the coming holiday. We have had some snow but nothing measurable yet but it’s coming!!! Currently it is 17 and breezy. Stay safe and be careful with all the snow. My hubby is waiting for new 4wd truck then it can snow lol2 -

I read all of yesterday’s NSVs after I had stripped down to step on the scale. How I laughed. Great NSVs everyone!
Monday, November 15 and Tuesday November 16
Exercise - lots, very active - my watch says I am burning about 2,200 a day
Tracking - I’m being invited out a bit and trying to guesstimate 2 meals a day is proving difficult at best so I am estimating high but have no idea. But I haven’t gained anything and my clothes feel the same so I think I’m somewhere within the range. I just don’t have a warm and fuzzy feeling that this is sustainable. The novelty is beginning to wear off though and I feel like I am starting to have a routine. Today I declined all invitations (they all seem to end at a restaurant with food and cocktails) and am sticking close to my kitchen. I am glad that I am still working from home on a part time basis because that gives me somewhat of a scheduled routine. I have to admit that I am not sure how I will handle being fully retired. I just keep reminding myself that everything is an adjustment. Now that I have more time, I think it’s time to start looking into volunteering somewhere.6 -

Hi @biketheworld @caroline_slowandsteady @mrs_hoffer @snowshoe072 — thanks for your messages. We are safe here despite the storm that “keeps on giving”. It is snowing much less, but it continues. ❄️❄️❄️ Blowing snow is the biggest issue and keeping people off the roads is key as visibility has been, at times, down to 200 m (219 yards).
AWD & Winter tiresWe have AWD on all of our vehicles and here it is preferable to 4WD because of our variable driving conditions. For eight months of the year, we have, at times, soft snow, pack snow, black and/or glare ice. I have studded winter tires on my SUV. They make a heck of a racket on dry pavement but we won’t really have any of that again now until April. Hubby has the newest Blizzak unstudded tires. We have separate rims for the winter tires, replace these tires often, and frankly spend much more on them than the summer/all season tires. They are absolutely essential for safety
The storm actually originated in Hawaii. It was quite warm (for us) early yesterday morning, but that was the warning of what was to come. 🥵🥶This is the same storm that has caused torrential rains, mudslides, and much of Lower Mainland British Columbia including Vancouver to be cut off physically from the rest of Canada. They are without power, water treatment, and telecommunications (including fibre based mobility services in some areas as the lines have been taken out by the storms). We have family there; all have been evacuated. There is no estimate as to when roads and bridges in their area could be rebuilt and areas opened up again. My girlfriend and her son were rescued out by Canadian military helicopters yesterday. They had only just gotten back into their home after the forest fire evacuation of last summer. This extreme weather now is such a worry.
I don’t live very far north (well, we are in the very southern area of our province). Where I live…I live in Regina, the capital city of Saskatchewan in the Canadian prairies. Regina is 248 km (about 155 miles) due north of the Montana US Border at Raymond Port of Entry.
Take good care everyone 🥰

Julie, I wondered if this was the same storm. I had heard stories about how bad it was in Vancouver and the BC area.... please stay safe. @jamcnewman
