I was certain I had posted for the 11th but it looks like it isn’t here.
I appreciate the opening post and the thoughts posted on this. Thinking about how I would like to refocus and commit. I tend to try to take on too many initiatives in order to distract myself and lately I’ve needed to step back as I feel overwhelmed with commitments. The idea of 5-10 minute distractions really appeals to me.
Exercise - ✅ 75 minute walk
Tracking - ✅ yes
Calories - ✅ yes, but did dip into some of my exercise calories.

@Mrs_Hoffer - wow wow WOW - you have some serious crochet skills. I like to knit, but for some reason cannot get the hang of crochet. Very beautiful!3

Thanks Julie @jamcnewman
You bring up an excellent point. Sometimes, we all try to change too many things at once. I know I’m guilty of it!
At those times I remember “Patience, little grasshopper!” 😄
Sometimes, we actually do just need to focus on just one. With my recent tiptoe over the top of my maintenance range, I realized I had to focus on tracking every gram until that was in place. Why? Because then I had the data I needed for step 2.
Then, I asked myself what’s one change you could make with your food (next important).
I decided to eat 1/2 (instead of a whole) baked good that my husband & I had gotten in the habit of eating. Wasn’t sure I could do it. Made it my focus. Had it down in 2 days, at which point all my old ways of eating came back to me.

Thank you both for your kind comments @biketheworld and @jamcnewman . It's definitely a passion of mine. I learned crochet first (around age 12), and later tried to learn to knit and just could never get the hang of it. I probably could if I would persist at it, but it's not 'fun' for me, and I always go back to crochet instead! Lol. I'm sure there's a lesson in there somewhere!3
