Day 19 - song that makes me think about life - βA Hundred Million Miraclesβ from Flower Drum Song2

@77tes, thank you for the reminder of Israel Kamakawiwoβoleβs rendition of Over the Rainbow. Such a lovely remake of this great song. Pretty sure thereβs a ukulele in my future. So happy youβre putting in your retirement papers!
@jamcnewman, Iβm glad you downloaded BitGym! Itβs been so helpful to me. Iβve always been a regular exerciser, but now I enjoy it so much more because I get to walk through and cycle through these beautiful, exotic locations. And itβs also helping me deal with all the darkness. Every evening I spend 20 to 30 minutes cycling in a warm and sunny place. Sometimes the beach, sometimes another locale. But always someplace warm and sunny. Last night it was the turquoise pools in the limestone valleys of Wadi Shab, Oman. Getting a 20 to 30 minute sunshine break at night makes a big difference. The light lamp also helps.4 -

Frank Sinatraβs βYoung at Heartβ is one of my favorites and one of my go to songs when I need a pick me up. I couldnβt agree more with the sentiments of the song! Iβve been playing it on my guitar which makes it extra special.
Hope you enjoy it!

Focusing on calories, steps, macro/micros, sleep, low stress

Hi everyone! Hereβs my November wrapup:
I didnβt do as much picking up as I had intended, but thatβs OK. I did get a new paper shredder and I put it to good use shredding documents that I had been saving until we could safely discard them.
But my real progress this month has been in bringing more light into my life. I love my new light therapy lamp and use it twice a day. I notice a real energy boost as I sit next to the lamp first thing in the morning sipping my coffee. I now have a similar light at my office and I use it twice a day.
Iβm also bringing more light into my life by using BitGym in the evening. Now, when itβs pitch black outside in the late afternoon or early evening, Iβll take 20 or 30 minutes and cycle slowly on my elliptical while I get magically transported to someplace warm and sunny. With a large screen monitor and with headphones on, I really feel like Iβm someplace else. Walking on the beach. Cycling through a sunny field. Or meandering along a stream. I love that I can use this app to get an extra dose of sunshine whenever I want.
I will post the December challenge tomorrow night. I have really enjoyed our musical focus this month!
Hope you are all doing well!
βDenise

Chorus has been back in rehearsals β in earnest for our Messiah performance for family only at the Cathedral next Tuesday. So much rehearsing and practicing alone. My voice was ready as I didnβt stop singing when rehearsals had to be halted β kept on singing every day during November during the song challenge. β₯οΈ
Sometimes my song choices made me so very sad and brought me to tears (many times). I think that sadness needed to come out. It has been such a stressful and anxious time. I am singing Carols every day now and watching more carefully how sad I am making myself. There is enough sadness β I donβt need to go looking for it.

@jamcnewman Iβm so glad that you have carols and Messiah practice to cheer you. Iβm going to the Messiah sing-a -long with my daughters. They usually go with my sister, but she has moved to another state and canβt visit for the sing-a-long, so I get to enjoy it even though Iβm not a musician.1
