It's too early for me to be able to call out a favorite NSV this month. (I usually go to bed pretty early and not everyone has posted), but there are several very good ones. If you haven't had a chance to read them for this month, please do so. I think you'll be inspired!3 -
If any of you are thinking "but I don't HAVE a NSV this month ..." i strongly suggest that you take a gander at this url link to the MFP thread "What's your most recent NSV?" It was first started in 2014 and is still going strong. Start scanning at any point (including the more recent ones) and I am SURE you will come up with SOMETHING! (including possibly "I have been showing up and reporting despite having more than 3 passes so far" or "I picked up the phone and made an appointment with a nutritionist" or "I am off exercise due to dr's orders, but have kept up reading here and am making plans for when I get the ok tomove again" or [anything where you put your own self-care at the the head / near the top of your "ToDo List" ]
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1275030/whats-your-most-recent-nsv8 -
I will be putting this in the "what's on your mind today?" thread too. What might be the motivation behind the actions of 4 main types of food pushers. (you would know best the most-likely re people in your own circle. From the MFP blogs / articles page.
https://blog.myfitnesspal.com/types-of-food-pushers-during-the-holidays-and-how-to-respond/
For the "trying to show love via food / I'm stuffed now but can you pack me a slice to take home for later" scenario .... there is nothing to say WHICH "waist vs waste" container it went into once you got home .....

16th Dec 2021
* 45 min jog, walk & stretch.
*Meditation and journaling
* Under calories
* Tracked every blt
* Monitored sugars and finally under!
After almost 3 months at maintaince I h've decided I want to loose another 3.2 kgs. The last few weeks I hve been kinda doing maintaince and kinda doing weight loss and I think restricting and not hving a clear plan with goals, time frames etc has been making me overeat. I intend to do it very slow and steady so I dnt trigger my binge eating!! Fingers crossed xo

The NSVs posted on yesterday’s entry were the best and most inspiring I have seen. What a wonderful feeling of celebration with everyone. Thank you to each of you who shared. 💛
Thursday December 16
I too can’t believe we are at the halfway point in December. 😳 Don’t get me wrong — time passing quickly is a good thing when we are in challenging experiences. 🎄
✅ Tracked it all — but SO frustrated with MFP and the absence of reliable data exchange. Goodness knows how much I am leaving in the bank today but I KNOW I am not over
✅ Calories
✅ Exercise - Had a 20 minute indoor walk this morning. It is -28C with the windchill right now 🥶). I just finished an additional 30 minutes on the treadmill (while watching The Great Canadian Baking Challenge: irony defined)….
Hope you feel so much better tomorrow @taurie and that your surgical recovery stay in the hospital is successful @tahm42

Using my 3rd pass day today as I didn't get in any intentional exercise. Got the Pfizer booster this morning so decided to take it easy. I did manage to get 8000+ steps, mainly because I had some shopping I needed to do. Arm sore and starting to feel a little yucky this evening. Temp is 99.5 right now and I'm having the chills so will probably go up higher. Hope I get a decent night's sleep tonight!

This cold weather is brutal eh @jamcnewman ... I got outside too this morning but it's scary cold tonight.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? 23 minutes walking, 35 minutes Peloton.. short on my step goal due to aforementioned cold and lack of drive to make up for it in other ways.. will see if I muster up the energy for anything more

Exercise: steps were extra-EXTRA LLLLOOOOOWWWW today (the book was sooooooo good!) However I DID get in 25 minutes on the exercise bike before midnight (only let MPF count it as "1 min / 6 cals").
Logged: All logged
In Range: both food AND exercise were a bit on the light side (did I mention how good my book was? No eduational value at all. Definitely a "self-care day") But enough that MFP isn't "mad at me for under eating"
Personal Extra Challenge: A 30-day "3 doodles-a-day" self-challenge to break through my fear of active-creativity / "not drawing it correctly". Started Dec 6 (11 for 11 so far!)

Pass day.
I went out for the day – to the theatre and dinner afterwards at our favourite Chinese buffet restaurant. Too difficult to track the dinner as I had lot of small portions. Delicious!
I did get lots of walking done – over 18,000 steps by the end of the day. The weather here is mild compared with those of you in Canada!
And, tbh, the calories for the day were probably not too bad.

@taurie and @slimtastesbetter so sorry to hear you had bad reactions to your jabs – I hope you are fully recovered now.
@tahm42 – I hope all is going well. I see you are getting some exercise done – that’s a good sign.

Pass Day 8. Much the same story as the day before. I had a field day and planned too much food for the day. And then needed to stop and use a bathroom so had to buy something and bought a hot chocolate and drank it and it was delicious. And I'm up another 0.8 pounds. It is amazing how quickly they can come back these days!
Exercise: 15 minute MommaStrong workout, probably 45 minutes of walking
Tracking: I did track the whole day
Calories: Over
I am not eating any takeout for takeout Friday today, so that should help. My wife and kids are getting takeout from a restaurant that does not particularly tempt me and I will eat delicious food we have in the house.
I am also inspired by all the NSVs yesterday and also by everyone getting their boosters. I still need to do that.3 -

I'm hoping that by the time you read this, you both are feeling much better!
@jamcnewman and @ashleycarole86
it's dangerously cold..... I don't know how you do it living so far north! Brrrrr! I'm such a wimp this winter.... we've had 2 days in the 50's and I've gone out for a short walk... but other than that, it's been the dreadmill. Lol.
@Arc2Arc wow, walking in a snowstorm! You should've shared some pics with us! (those of us, like me, who don't want to go out into the C.O.L.D. But seriously, kudos to you!!!3 -

The good news is that I am feeling better.... the bad news is that my appetite is back. Lol. I didn't do anything yesterday (16th) except lay around, sleep, and eat! I know my body needs the rest though.
