    Checking in to say happy December and welcome to the new walkers. My foot is still very busted. I got into a hotel pool 3x last week and did lots of yoga there which was good for me. I've been walkng at least a mile a day all month but it's so hard to not over do it. I'm struggling to do other exercise like start lifting again or do chair workouts without my feet while it heals.

    The good news is I'm really working to get my diet controlled while I'm not fueling long walks and runs. Waiting for a foot brace to arrive that I can wear for more support. Hoping to slowly increase my walking and maybe start jogging again in spring if that works out too.

    But for now little walks and not pounding my feet for extended periods, and more stretching is my December agenda!

    Hello - progress report!

    Dec 1 - pass (shakes head)
    Dec 2 - walked Dollar store before picking up son, 15 minutes
    Dec 3 - began outside Xmas set up, 1 hour
    Dec 4 - completed outside set up with grandkids, 2 hours
    Dec 5 - watered plants in & out and began inside cleaning & decorating in earnest, 2 hours
    Dec 6 - 1 mile WAH on YouTube + cooldown,  Fitbit recorded 20 minutes!
    Dec 7 - made extra effort to walk each hour today, minimum 250 steps - missed only 1 hour out of 12! Got 15 active minutes in between 1 & 2.
    Dec 8 - lots of non-exercise walking today, shopping etc, counting as a win!
    Dec 9 - sadly, another pass...

    Today I will get my butt in gear!

    @mypinkbikini - you are doing fabulous!

    I restarted using MFP on October 30 2021 for the 3rd time. I use walking as my exercise and love Leslie even though a lot of times I just walk watching TV or in circles in my office. Sometimes I get to walk outside but that's rare because the weather has to be just right. I use Fitbit to track my steps/miles. I'm not new to the group, I've just been inactive for a few years.

    Dec goals: 182,000 steps / 82 miles

    Dec 1: 11,675 / 5.85
    Dec 2: 3,706 / 1.86
    Dec 3: 6,130 / 3.08
    Dec 4: 4,933 / 2.44
    Dec 5: 12,250 / 6.15

    Dec 10 - worked on my 250 steps every hour, didn't make it but logged over 4000 steps, which is good for me 🙂 and included grocery & pharmacy walks!
    Dec 11 - pretty much finished inside decorating (except for tree next weekend), lots of bending, stretching, reaching, standing and walking!
    Dec 12 - fairly active day (for me) and I made a point of walking around my daughter's office building for 15 minutes, logged over 6000 steps on the day!

    I've had my first visit with PT and it's safe to say my mileage will be reduced for a bit while we work out this kink in my ankle.

    I went ahead and did a burn to the beat this week but mostly only waking up to 1 mile at a time and wearing my ankle compression

    My foot feels better most of the time so healing is working but I can't wait to get back to my regular morning walks in January! In the meantime I'm being diligent about stretching and trying to do weights 3x a week for the next few weeks to get in the habit. It will help my tone and my overall health to do light weights a few times a week

    Tomorrow I'm trying chair Zumba for seniors 🤣

    Dec 15 - babysat grandkids all afternoon +  did a lot of cooking/kitchen prep and got over my 4000 step goal
