A 30-day "3 doodles-a-day" self-challenge to break through my fear of active-creativity / "not drawing it correctly". Started Dec 6 (15 for 15 so far!)

Welcome to our new members, friends from the UAC group!
I love that some of us post daily, some every few days, some weekly. We each know what we need & the group allows for that flexibility.
Iβve been posting less than in the first part of the month because I got my habits firmly on track. One day of too much salt (inadvertently), but everything else is going very well.
Our son & his wife are visiting, so Iβm exposed to many foods we usually donβt have here (they love to cook & always bring a load of groceries/treats.)
So far, so good! Iβm walking more than usual, keeping stress low, sleeping well, reading, creating each day, and keeping calories under my maintenance number.
I Really didnβt feel well after their delicious dinner last night. I forgot they salt their recipes. Delicious. What I realized is I become more & more in touch with my body, the longer Iβm on this journey.
I could tast the salt in my saliva. Despite regular glasses of water, it took quite awhile to get back to normal. I took my bp, and sure enough it was up. 126/80 p 59. So was pulse.
Rather than beating myself up, All of this helped me make better choices today. Placing my #HealthFirst gives me my motivation, it fuels me!
Last thing: I went 2 months for my labs for the first time since transplant & they were all AWESOME β£οΈβ£οΈβ£οΈ
What we are doing is so essential to our future great outcomes!

Sun 18: more cards π a We weβre supposed to go to DEDs house to see g/daughter, but her flight was delayed, so rescheduled for tomorrow.
Mon 20: Visited DED to celebrate birthday of g/daughter just returned home from Oxford for Christmas.
Tues 21: assembled tree and decorated it. Had a surprise visit from Santa.
Wed 22: Did Christmas shopping. Finished writing cards for family/neighbours. Made a few extra cards just because π
Oh! Joy! I have been overdosing on Christmas movies, music and other Christmas themed TV as a reward for all the seasonal tasks I have been doing.

Thanks, Terri. I can never quite decide if I have hit the right balance between "too much" and "not saying a word". But I figured if I make something like UAC a bit of a "con TIN uuuuuuuu ing STOOOOOOOR-y" it is likely to encourage others to show up for the next installment (and report themselves while there anyway) I am better at finding ways to encourage others than at encouraging myself. (like I always liked reading Dory's "latest animal-adventure")
At least with text-base, people who don't want it all can skip over!2 -

It's hard to be active / get steps in when the e-text book series I am reading is soooooooooo good! (only the current one and one more available .... then have to wait MONTHS for the last two on hold to arrive!)

@BMcC9 hi I have 4 acoustic, one that is electric and a electric guitar. 2 Yamahas, Alvarez, Dean, Oscar Schmidt Washborne. My fav? Hard to say the Acoustic Yamaha and the new one the Alvarez run a close first but it really depends on the day!!2

Sorry I havenβt been posting much this month, I havenβt been keeping up with my habits particularly well.
My tracker is practically blank, not that Iβve done nothing, but I havenβt been fasting, staying under 100 g carbs, tracking, journaling, or even doing yoga. Iβve been walking a fair bit, though.
I was incredibly busy the last week of the semester which was also the week before my ball. Then our Messiah singalong was canceled, now our family Christmas Eve party is postponed due to a COVID exposure. So Iβm a bit bummed out. π
On a positive note, my Christmas Preparations are going well. Iβm about to pick up the huge turkey I ordered that Iβll be cooking for just our family of four. π€£ π¦ Tree is decorated. π The presents are almost all wrapped. π2 -

@BMcC9 Itβs the front of a top. I already have the back completed. One side will be the upper edge. Then the adjoining edges will be side seams, and the point is the bottom edge.

Thu 23: Cleared away some of my Christmas card stock. Collected and cooked the turkey/gammon to take to DEDβs on Christmas Day.
