Found some suggestions on multiple sites for Fitness goals for 2022 and thought I'd share them. Perhaps they'll be useful to some of you:
- Work out at home -- stay safe. There are MANY sources of good workouts, depending on your activity level, skill level and any allowances you need for injuries or other issues.
- Set new goals and integrate strength training, not just cardio.
- Be consistent...schedule time developing a plan and sticking to it.
- Set new challenges -- great time to change your usual routine or shake things up a bit!
- Add new elements to your training...free weights, kettlebells, resistance bands, steps, etc. Possibilities are endless!
- Balance things out...conditioning, meditation, yoga, relaxation, etc.
- Hit peak zones and sweat a bit, even in small bursts!
- Rehab, stretch and strengthen before and after.
- Get a training partner...someone to encourage you, and might make for some friendly competition!
- Aim for 10k steps a day if you can...start small and increase as you get stronger.

THURSDAY, Jan 6th
24. One way I’m going to make save more money. -- I'm retired. But I buy used and want to take part in a buy nothing collective to make sure that stuff gets to where it is needed.
25. One expense I’m cutting out. -- wine, and alcohol in general. I am moderating, not quitting, but it's going well!
26. One way I’m going to stop wasting time. -- I like wasting time. Sometimes I have good ideas while wasting time.
27. One skill I’m going to learn. -- My daughter is determined to teach me to shoot. I'm not too sure about this idea, but I'll probably at least give it a try.
28. One class I’m going to take or workshop I’m going to attend. --not possible right now, but if they ever come back, dancing. I really want to dance, and it has been ages since the last time.2 -
SUNDAY, Jan 2nd
1. One habit I’m going to build.- Drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning (bonus point to make it the night before in my special cup and put it in the fridge so it is nice and cold)
2. One bad habit I’m going to break.- Forgetting to brush my teeth and wash my face every night
3. One person I’m going to forgive.- An ex-friend who ghosted me after being close friends for 2 1/2 years.
4. One person I’m going to befriend or reconnect with-N and M, 2 friends who have been very good to me in my food addiction recovery
5. One toxic tie I need to break - Getting overwhelmed and not doing anything when there is a large task- some progress is better than none!!!
6. One person I’m going to spend more time with-Syd, my work friend (but actually meet up outside of work too)
MONDAY, Jan 3rd
7. One way I’m going to strengthen my personal relationship- be more present

9. One negative belief I’m going to drop- that I am not worth love

Finish decluttering the house this summer! Last summer I made a LOT of progress but then got distracted in the fall.

None of these is really an issue. I'm retired, I tolerate all kinds of things and am curious, but keep my boundaries. I have tons of energy most of the time, exercise and music and living in the forest keep me cool, I sleep great, I could dance more.
