    Pass Day #13 (approximately)

Exercise: 15 minutes MommaStrong, 40 minutes stretching and release work (I had a Zoom work training where I got to just listen), 30 minutes walk
Tracking: Planned the day at the right number of calories, then tracked every little nibble - didn't deny myself the nibble, just tracked it.
Calories: That added up to 500 extra calories!

My weight was steady with that. That makes me wonder if maybe my "maintenance" goal number is actually too low and that is part of my hunger problem?

I was not hungry with all the nibbles. But planning ahead too eat more nutritious food would certainly better than giving in to nibbles from the kids' snack shelf.

I am going to try to answer @Mrs_Hoffer's questions in my intro post in March. I always write the intro from scratch and use it as an opportunity to reflect on my journey. Those are good questions for that.

@snowshoe072 I am so sorry about your dog. A good dog is so precious, and the loss is so hard. I lost my 13 year old special dog coming up on 4 years ago this spring. I am still grieving her, but her memory gets sweeter every day.

I want to thank all of you for your thoughts regarding my buddy Sadie we walked with her to the Rainbow Bridge this morning it’s a empty home even with 2 other big guys but I have wonderful memories of her with our family. Give your pet some extra attention today they aren’t here forever.

    Biggest hug to you.

[*] what's something that you've learned from being in the UAC about weight loss or maintaining,

gosh only one thing? This group has completely changed my mindset about weight loss, partly because of each person’s input, partly because of the resources recommended. My 2 biggest changes in weight loss approach are 1. Slow is OK because slow increases the odds of keeping it off and 2. Don’t make any changes that aren’t sustainable.

    @biketheworld I would echo this 100%

@ashleycarole86 wow! Congrats on your success! Thank you for sharing. I can really relate to the perfectionist tendencies you spoke about.

@snowshoe072 sending you big hugs for your sweet Sadie 🐾🖤 our fur babies provide a special kind of love: unconditional, unending love. Time is precious with them, thank you for the reminder.
I could write a book on the things that I have learnt. Here are just a few of them.
    • Weight loss is only one measure of progress.
    • Creating a healthy, fit lifestyle is a life long process.
    • Effective sustainable habit modification is crucial to that process.
    • Everyone is an individual. What works for one may not work for another.
    • The support and encouragement of others on the same journey makes the process much easier. That’s why I’m in UAC 😂 (to name just one of my groups)

@TerriRichardson112 always such an inspiration! I'd buy your book😁

@Jana_2020 same. page. It's so wonderful to know I'm not alone on the "slow and steady" journey💗 "Just keep showing up." I'm adding to my mantra list!

@bill70sstrong Very well done Champions March is a fresh, clean slate!

@jana_2020 I like what you said about “even though I’m still not perfect, I am so much further ahead than I was this time last year and this time 2 years ago. Just keep moving and trying to get with the program.” I’m right there with you!

@whatmerunning Chris, it sounds like you know what you need to do. Congrats on your weight loss (and keeping it off!) I’ve missed you….

@lazyblondechef I don’t know why MFP can’t leave things alone. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!! I’ve been struggling this winter with exercise as well. Hopefully we’ll start to get some warmer days in March and the sunshine will snap us out of it!

@carolineslowandsteady Great job walking during your Zoom meeting! I need to start doing that!

    3 yeses for yesterday

I have been here since August. I sadly came from Spark people but so happy for the community I have found. I haven’t really lost much in months-been stuck on a plateau. Most difficult part is being stuck on my plateau.UAC has taught me to track and track accurately
