There are always SOOOO many terrific NSV's, that it's hard to pick out just one! I know this is a long post, but there are so many great ones that I think are especially encouraging!jamcnewman wrote: Β»My NSV this month is that I caught and stopped myself when I contemplated some sneaky behaviour with regards to weighing and tracking. I talked with my dietician at our appointment today about it and we agreed β it is a NSV. My new mantra for the rest of this month, to ensure it continues to be managed: βwho exactly would I be deceiving?β Yup β π‘π‘π‘
Julie, I love this!I noticed my balance is improving, my shirts and pants are a little looser. I was able to keep up with 4 of my grandkids on Saturday. I actually enjoy eating a salad everyday.
@jmu1965 Huge kudos to YOU!makattack220 wrote: Β»my NSVs this month have been building consistency with my morning meditation practice and learning to listen closely to my hunger/fullness cues (finding that often I eat less than pre-logged if I only eat when truly hungry and stop when full).
@makattack220 this is huge!!I can actually bend over to make a flat back doing rows and still breathe!!! functional fitness!
@tahm42 Yes!! Better AND Stronger!!I am on vacation now and have noticed that my mobility is so much better than my last vacation when I was heaviest. Before the weight loss it was getting hard to get out of a booth or chair at a restaurant without supporting myself excessively on the table and it is also so much easier now to get in and out of a car. I have also found that my metabolic flexibility, which I developed from intemittent fasting, now means that my vacation activities do not need to be planned around frequent meals or snacks. I can go without eating for hours without discomfort. We only brought some nuts and a meal replacement shake with us, instead of the vast variety of snacks I used to plan to bring as emergency food. Emergency food is currently not an issue for me.
Susan, another terrific NSV! Hope you're having a wonderful vacation!StayFITTer wrote: Β»NSV: Been working on my βSleep Hygieneβ! And I feel as though my sleep quality and length is trending upward and improving.
Bridget, sleep quality is pretty important as well! WTG!loopydo2017 wrote: Β»Ironically enough, today I hit my goal weight. But a βsoftβ 135 of today is not the same body as a strong 135 of a few years ago. So my NSV is to ditch my goals around the scale number and continue working on endurance, strength, balance and stretching and celebrate victories in those areas over some number thatβs always bouncing around.
@loopydo2017 CONGRATS on hitting your goal weight! Good for YOU!!strength3335 wrote: Β»Today is a mental health day for me (literally) and I used a small Coke as my comfort. My NSV is consistently tracking my food. I canβt remember the last time I tracked my food for almost 3 weeks! Also, Iβm quitting the gym I hate and looking into buying a Total Gym again ( sold mine years ago). Just have to save up the money, but I really enjoyed mine plus working out alone!
@strength3335 WooHoo!!! What an awesome NSV! You're well on your way!!ashleycarole86 wrote: Β»NSV:
Attended a supper on the weekend that had tighter seating and I didn't have anxiety about fitting
Ashley, I know that had to feel GREAT!! Go YOU!!!MadisonMolly2017 wrote: Β»NSV I am actively working on my art project daily. Iβm thrilled it has held my interest! Picked up an interest in birding, and have been identifying them with delight.
Molly, what an exciting NSV! You're always such an inspiration!donna25trinity wrote: Β»Nsv: 1 inch down from waist and 1 inch from thighs. Xox
Well done will all your nsv's. Xox
Donna, CONGRATS! I'm so proud of you! You're efforts have been paying off! WTG!Caroline_slowandsteady wrote: Β»Minor NSV for yesterday is that I was faced with a long day out of the house for work followed by my daughter's 10th birthday celebration. I knew I couldn't really accurately count the calories, and that my eating couldn't be optimal. However, I still optimized wherever I could and prelogged and tracked and prepped all the food on Monday. From the takout place, I got a burrito bowl with no rice, and then I made some cauliflower rice (2 servings). They wound up giving me an actual burrito, but I just dumped out half the inside onto my cauli rice and threw away the tortilla (after taking a bit of course but it wasn't even good). Today I'll have the other half of burrito on the other half of rice, which of course means another day of not accurate tracking but I'll just have to live with it. I did eat way too much of the birthday cake.
Bigger NSV is just how much I have been learning this month from all of you about how to do this weight loss/weight maintenance thing long-term. And tracking completely accurately for a few weeks for the first time since I started tracking a year ago! That's one too.
Caroline, more great NSV's! Slow and steady will definitely win the race.... if you just don't give up!! (I love your name!)
Thanks everyone for sharing such great NSV's!! How encouraging!
Happy "Hump Day" !!

Thanks for such an inspiring start to our day today Teresa π
I loved your NSV yesterday:
My NSV is that I feel like I've held my weight over the entire winter.... Even though I've been up and down all winter, I've never gained more than 7 lbs. This is the first winter where I haven't put on 20+ pounds!! And I'm so excited about Spring and getting right back to it and taking off these last 20 lbs.
Youβve done really great this winter and I am excited to hear about your success this spring (when it comesβ¦) Well done you! @Mrs_Hoffer πππ3 -

So I started getting sick on 3/7 which lasted all week. I think it was my first actual "cold" since covid happened, or maybe it was the omicron, I am not sure. Then after I was over my cold, I didn't track anything trying to get my to-do list caught back up from being sick. I am disqualified for the month of March. I am deciding if I want to start to post in March or just wait until April. I am completely out of my routine and waiting until April might not be the wisest choice.

Had a great appointment with my dietician today. Since I have started seeing her in September I have lost ten pounds. I am going to try some new salad dressings with tahini. I am also making my own popsicles because I bought the molds a while ago. She even suggests buying Fairlane Chocolate milk and freezing it. That's so much easier than trying to find a recipe.3 -

@lesdarts180 16k steps! Wowsa!
@jmu1965 I love the idea of chocolate milk-sicles! Sounds yummy!
@KCJen I agree that you should get back to tracking and don't put it off. It's important to stay in the "habit" of tracking/logging. It's not easy to develop a good habit, and we should guard that 'good habit' once it's formed so that we don't slip back into 'old' (bad) habits! Lol. Just my opinion....
@ashleycarole86 I hope you're not getting sick, and that a good night's sleep helps you to feel better quick!
@seilidhe I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's dental fiasco.5 -
