Exercise? Yep
Tracking? No
Calories? Nope.
Have been thinking about you this past week as you have been through so much recently, including the loss of your friend. Glad you were able to get out for a family visit to the theatre this weekend. Wishing you a good week ahead. 🌻 @seilidhe2 -

I didn't post last night in response to the topic because it required a bit more thinking on my part than I had time for. Going back to @WhatMeRunning said about embracing the suck clicked with me. If I see progress, then I'm motivated. When obstacles arise or things don't go the way I want them to, my mindset in the past has been to not push through and push on. I realize I do this in other parts of my life as well.
I also resonated with @ashleycarole86 to not let perfection be the enemy of good. I procrastinate on so many things because if I can't be fully successful, what's the point in expending the energy in the first place. I don't know if it is an immediate gratification mindset or what, but something I need to think about and work on almost every day.
What a great and thought provoking topic @makattack220 .4 -

Hopefully my response doesn't sound otherwise.
This is a subject I think many misinterpret in far too rosy of a manner, but the entire concept is truly what folks must do.
Sometimes you have to embrace the suck. This is where the temptation to quit can seem unavoidable. But it IS avoidable. If you can decide to quit it means you had a decision to make, and there were alternatives.
That doesn't mean you have to agonize miserably. At least not all of the time. 😊 And it's ok to feel that way, but it's not what should drive you to quit. It's what you need to get through to overcome it.
Sometimes it's two steps back and one step forward. But that's still a forward step. If you didn't take that one step forward how many more steps behind would you be?
I could go on and on, but the truth is it's not often THAT difficult (hopefully). That fortitude can make the better times even more successful.
You just have to keep going. Even if it means starting again, you're still going.
Great insight. Xo0 -
Weekends are hard to stay on track. I feel the need to relax and let all worries go on Weekends. Tracking and keeping up with health is a job in its own all week long. I am trying to make it a habit so it feels less taxing but that takes time too.
Sunday, pass day. I rested all day, nourished my body with much needed food and relaxation. I feel like I am hungry all week long, its exhausting. Maybe I need to up the calories or up my nutritional value of the food I eat?
2 passes remain
@rashel1 We hve all been there and at times are still there. Ha ha! I also love to indulge on the weekend, I hve found that because of this as much as I dnt want to the reality is that it is even more important for me to pretrack on the w/e so i dnt over indulge. Also If you are hungry all the time a few things you may want to consider are.... *Making sure you get enough protien this was a game changer for me personally * As u mentioned taking less of a deficit (slow and steart wins the race) * Eating alot of veggies and friut to bulk up your meals with minimal calories * Allow yourself a small treat daily within calorie budget, I eat mine at the end of the day. All the best with it. Xo2 -
