    My Spring Challenge commitment is:
    1) Read for 30 minutes a day or use my Scroll Saw - I Read the Institute.
    2) Move at least 30 minutes a day or walk 3000 steps - 2411 steps.
    3) Weigh everyday - 167.5

Hmm, I don't know if I lost any weight last week. But I will find out today.

@vegan4lyfe2012 My next project is a Cat Scene Shadow Box (I bought the pattern on Etsy), it uses 6 pieces of wood and has some intricate cutting. I don't know if I have practiced enough to do a good job, but I won't know till I try. Right now, I need to get the taxes finished, so I can send them to the accountant. I need a couple of more days for that by the end of the week for sure. After that my husband has a project for me that will take a couple of days. By next week I should be able to start on it.

Congratulation to those on the leader board!!

@vegan4lyfe2012 do you think that it could have been he was telling Hunter to hang up her winter coat, to me, your sweater looks like part of your outfit so you wouldn’t hang it up. I honestly really like your outfit, I think it looks smashing on you! May I also just say, you have a gorgeous daughter!

@katmary71 my word if that was a down day, I would hate to see a busy day;)! Just teasing, you have a lot of people who rely on you! I know, with the price of gas nowadays, filling up your tank can be a stressful experience!

@trooworld Congrats on the good choices yesterday and on meditating for 16 minutes! I am afraid that is one thing I just can’t get the knack of.

@FushiaKat I hope you're feeling better when you read this.

Hi everyone, had a couple appointments and tried to deal with some medical stuff but couldn't get through to the office. It was raining in the morning but the sun came out mid-afternoon, I have the seedlings outside covered by a tarp. Made skinnytaste's Greek pasta salad for lunch tomorrow then am finishing up her Giant Parmesan Turkey Meatball which I totally recommend any of her recipes. Tomorrow is getting my A1C done then I may go to the doctor's office since I'm halfway there. Workout was great, I'm doing the challenge this week on here which is fun to switch it up a bit. Have a great Wednesday.

@askewcr - You are quite busy lately. Still love your positive vibes! It's great that you are feeling a difference in your clothes.

@vegan4lyfe2012 - I think you look super cute in that sweater. Some people are just jerks! Try to let it go. I would have a hard time doing that.

@laurelfit57 - was wondering where you went. Glad you are back. Keep your chin up! My job situation has been messed up by the pandemic. And I'm bummed because it was an excellent fit for me. Now I'm out there looking for something new. I'm not getting calls for jobs I'm very qualified for, I've messed up the two interviews I was able to get (and I don't know why).... never had troubles in the past. We will figure this out!

@Katmary71 - I too, woke up late on Monday- 7 am! Couldn't believe it- but it was still completely dark out. It's getting better as the week goes on. I love the giant turkey meatball! And I found it because of you- thanks. Your nephew is so blessed to have an aunt like you.

I'm doing OK with the spring challenge. Focusing on the people who are supporting me right now is very helpful. I have to try not to lean on them too hard. I've done pretty well overall with resisting snacks and eating lots of vegetables. This is a 30 day challenge and I think it ends Monday 3/21- the first day of spring?

I started my "7 week challenge" on Monday. I've got a 12 week workout plan from Heather Robertson that I'm doing. I'll probably sub out some of the cardio for step workouts because I like them better. I did a short run/walk yesterday. The first two workouts have been above the level of what I can do, so I've modified what I can and skipped a bit when my muscles turn to rubber. I'm trying to focus on building strength during this time. Eating has been OK. Snacking and veggies are good. However, my kids are here.... I made mac and cheese for them. I have a hard time controlling myself around that food. Going out to eat tonight. Lasagna was requested for tomorrow. This is the kind of stuff that happens when they are here. So I'm not going to get all hung up on my results for this week.

My daughter was diagnosed with acid reflux. Not sure if that's accurate or not, but we'll see if the meds help. She started feeling a bit better on Sunday. My son has been ornery as heck. He got new glasses, had to shop for a suit, a haircut, and today is the dentist. He's not enjoying spring break. I think he sees graduation and getting a job on the horizon and is scared out of his mind, but he won't say that out loud.

Did a call with my Dad and a dementia specialist on Monday. Have another one next week. Trying to plan Mom's future care. She is not doing too badly yet, but it is coming. Mom and Dad are stubborn, so it takes a lot of cajoling to get them to make simple changes like using a pill box. They also live far away from me. My sister has a major depressive disorder and last week decided she felt left out and made a huge stink about a number of things. She needs a lot of attention, and that is her way of getting attention focused back on herself. Anyway, it's been very tiring and there's no end in sight. I'm telling myself that this is God's way of making me stronger. And I'm very happy that my husband is very supportive, and a cousin, and some friends. They lift me up when it gets to be too much.

@FushiaKat Congrats on the loss! Good job on your goals. I hope you feel better.

@laurelfit57 Thank you. I have my good and bad days with meditation, depending on how anxious I am. I keep trying though!

@Katmary71 Good luck with your appointment today and I hope you get through to the doctor's office. Great job with the workout.

@Cornanda I have a hard time around mac and cheese, too. I hope the meds help your daughter. Hopefully your son can get used to the idea of graduating and look forward to it. I'm glad you have supportive people around you. How's your pup doing? Hugs, Lisa.

Hi all. I lost 1.4 lbs which I am surprised about but happy about. I made some bad decisions last week but I guess my good decisions were more. I had a less-stressful day yesterday (Monday was stressful at work) but I still had anxiety so I came home and meditated and that helped. This week is going by really slowly.

    My Spring Challenge commitment is:
    1) Exercise 3 days a week - No
    2) Drink 50 oz of water a day - 50 oz drank

My phrase for the year: "Something needs to change…so I will take no crap and eat no crap!"

I'm feeling better today, but our power is off for another 2 hours. It's strange to have internet access. We have a generator.

@Cornanda You have a lot on your plate right now with your kids, parents, looking for a job, sick doggy, trying to get fit and healthy, and only you know what else. I just want you to know that you are in my prayers and I’m rooting for your complete success in all areas of your life. <3

@trooworld Woot on your loss this week! See balancing out the good with the bad can work for you. :p

@FushiaKat that tracker is super cute! :)

Hi Team! Thought I should pop on and let you know that I’m still hanging in there. This time change has me all out of sorts and the weather has been dreary and raining for two days. But I’ve been busy. Joe had a doctor’s appointment today with his primary care physician. He is slowly healing but still has a hard time walking. I dragged him to Kroger, and it took quite a while to get around the store, but he needs the exercise, so we made it work. His second round of chemo hasn’t had much effect on him, and I am super grateful for that. :) Soooo I’ve pretty much bailed on the spring challenge and my DDF challenge. I just can’t commit to anything other than the day that is right in front of me and I’ve come to the acceptance that it's OK for me to do that. So, each day will be what it is. I do promise to try to get in my workouts when possible and eat healthy when possible. Right now, I’m going to have a glass of wine and watch Love it Blind. Ohhhh that show is my new guilty pleasure! Have any of you watched it?

    My Spring Challenge commitment is:
    1) Read for 30 minutes a day or use my Scroll Saw - I Read the Institute, almost done.
    2) Move at least 30 minutes a day or walk 3000 steps - 2837 steps so far today.
    3) Weigh everyday - 164.9

I went to pick up thyroid medication for my Cat, then I stopped in at Sam's Club, my fizzy water went on sale today. While I was there this guy was loading strawberries into a cooler case and I just could not resist so I bought a box. OMG they are divine, and the calories are acceptable. I just added a new food to my menu. I had to eat a few; I just could not wait. I'm having 400 grams of strawberries today, and I'm not feeling guilty about it. I'm going to slowly add in different foods now, I'm ready to expand my menu.

I bought a medium size blouse on Amazon and fit like a glove, but I like my shirts with a bit of give so they don't hug my roles of fat for all the world to see. I put it with my other too small shirts and will try it on now and then to see if it's to my liking. I bought a size 10 skirt, and I will see how that fits when it gets here too.

@TeresaW1020 just take one day at a time, you know best. Prayers and hugs to you and Joe.

@Cornanda I hope you find a job that's to your liking soon. If somebody put mac and cheese in front of me I'm sure I'd just eat some, and think about it later. I don't know how you resist. I love Lasagna too, basically anything with Pasta.

@Katmary71 Thank you I am feeling better today. I'm going to look up skinnytaste's Giant Parmesan Turkey Meatball that sounds delicious. Actually I just printed out the recipe and will pick up the ingredients when I'm at the market the next time.

@katmary71 I used to use the skinny taste website all the time, I don’t know why I got off there. I think I will have to give it another go, I love Greek pasta salad and am going to definitely give that giant Parmesan turkey meatball a try!! Glad you are enjoying switching your workout up, it sure is nice for a change sometimes!

@cornanda I am petrified of going for an interview, I have not actually had to go for an interview in over 30 years, I find that idea terrifying! It is such a different world, it used to be word-of-mouth and now it is all on websites, so bizarre. But you are right, we will figure this out!
Modifying exercises is the key to success! When I am doing my weight class an interval class, sometimes I am modifying 25% of what they are doing LOL. I think it’s awesome that you are concentrating on strength, I find it very empowering when I am feeling strong and able to accomplish things! Sometimes comfort food, is good for the soul. You have so much going on right now, just really enjoy your kids and your time with them. Sorry to hear about your daughters acid reflux, that’s tough! Adult children can be very challenging at times, it sounds like your son is giving you a run for your money;).
You really are in the sandwich stage of life. You are right in the middle of your parents on one side and your kids on the other, both requiring YOU, super challenging phase. That is even more challenging with a sibling who has mental health issues. Just keep on hanging onto those who are supporting you and lifting you up♥️
    Thinking of you!!

@trooworld congrats on the loss! Your good decisions obviously outweighed the bad :-).

    &fushiakat Super cute tracker

@TeresaW1020 I am glad that Jo isn’t feeling any really bad after effects of the second round of chemo. Poor guy, it is so hard to heal when you have so much going on physically. One day at a time, is a great way to do it! Sometimes life really just throws up too many road blocks, so concentrating on that one day is definitely the best way and not nearly so overwhelming! I loved love is blind! Are you watching season one or two? I have watched both, now I won’t say anymore because I don’t want to be a spoiler LOL

I had a pretty good day, went to Physio, I am still dealing with the after affects after the fall I took on the ice a few weeks ago, but definitely getting better.
Yesterday when I was at the grocery store they had a huge sale in the meat department. I bought enough for about two months and spent the afternoon cooking it all up cutting it into individual portions and it is more in the freezer. I can just throw it into something for a quick meal. The ice is slowly but surely melting around here, I am hoping, by the end of the week that I won’t have to wear spikes on my boots anymore!! You have no idea how much that excites me🤣

@Cornanda I'm glad you like the turkey meatball too, that's my favorite of her turkey recipes. Heather Robinson is a good instructor, I've done some of her videos on YouTube. Enjoy going out to eat! Sounds like you have your hands full with family, I'm glad you have a good support system to help you deal with all of it.

@trooworld Congratulations on the loss! Glad meditation is helping you with anxiety, it's not something I thought I'd ever like but it's pretty awesome. Two more days until the weekend!

@TeresaW1020 I'm so glad Joe is responding well to the chemo, I'd imagine with all he has going on that's why healing is slow but that he's coping with treatment is wonderful. I'm glad you're feeling better about letting some things go with all you have going on, you're doing an incredible job with everything on your plate right now. I think sometimes we underestimate how much we're really doing toward our goals because we can't do everything at once. What is Love Is Blind? I'm watching the Real Housewives right now, 1000lb Friends (I watched 2 and want to hang out with them so we're 1152lb friends) is pretty good too but that's the extent of my reality TV these days, they suck you in like quicksand!

@FushiaKat Oh I'm glad you got some good strawberries, yum! I've been wanting some but figured they wouldn't be good yet, now I have to reconsider! I hope you enjoy the Giant Parmesan Turkey Meatball, I think you will! I made it for my brother and my ex-boyfriend and they both loved it too, it's very popular in the Skinnytaste Facebook group.

@Laurelfit57 Her recipes are pretty awesome, there was one I didn't have something for and it didn't come out that great but I tried it again with the right ingredient and was happy with it that time, it was the Santa Fe zucchini. Everything else I really enjoyed. We should have a Giant Parmesan Turkey Meatball night! Glad you're recovering from the fall and physio went well. I love having a good stock of food in my house, I get stressed when I run low so I'm sure it feels good to have your freezer full.

Hi everyone. I'm having my every few month back flare-up, it seems to happen every time I try to go up on weights. My body muscles can handle it but the degeneration between my shoulder blades can't, I'm really thinking I'd be better with machines instead of free weights but now I have to recover before I can go to the gym. I stopped lifting when I felt the first twinge but it was too late. My doctor called in a bunch of tests so I went to Trader Joe's to get a protein bar so I didn't pass out then went to my doctor's office to pick up a note then address not being able to fill my prescription. I planted some more flower seeds then have been resting the rest of the day and took a bath which felt awesome (Epsom salts, ACV, and bubble bath). I'm going to go read now, I'll have to stop working out for a few days. Of course it was garbage day and all my laundry is in the dryer, seems to always happen when it goes out. At least the litterboxes are full so I don't have to deal with that pail! Have a great Thursday team!

@FushiaKat Yes it is! You are doing great. Enjoy the strawberries.

@TeresaW1020 Thanks! Yes. I'm glad you are getting Joe out and about. Yes, it's okay to just stick to day to day, sometimes that's all we can do and that's just fine. I haven't watched that show but someone told me about it. Do you like it?

@laurelfit57 Thank you! I'm glad you are getting better but sorry you are still suffering after-effects. That was a good idea to stock up on the meat. It's so expensive nowadays!

@Katmary71 Thank you! Yes, meditation is helping a lot. I'm so glad it's almost the weekend. I'm sorry about the back flare-up. Take care of yourself.

Hi all. More anxiety yesterday. I had a headache and stomachache from it. I ended up leaving work 2 hours early because of it. Anxiety sucks. I did have a healthy dinner, I made a Mexican salad with some shrimp I seasoned and stuck in the air fryer. It was really good.

    My Spring Challenge commitment is:
    1) Exercise 3 days a week - No
    2) Drink 50 oz of water a day - 50 oz drank

My phrase for the year: "Something needs to change…so I will take no crap and eat no crap!"

@trooworld - yay for the loss of pounds and inches! I'm going to pray that your anxiety gets calmed down. It doesn't feel good and the added bonus of stomach aches and headaches is not fun. Your Mexican salad sounds yummy! Hugs to you too!

@FushiaKat - I love your tracker. So cute. You are just killing it on meeting your goals! Whoo hoo! Yay for getting new clothes. Strawberries are a yummy low cal treat. I hope you can find a few other new things to add to your routine. If you get too bored with food, it's easy to get off track.

@TeresaW1020 - thank you for the prayers. It means a lot to me. I continue to pray for you and Joe. For health and strength for the journey for you both. And that whatever needs you have will be met. I'm sooooo glad he's doing well with the chemo. A grocery store walk was an excellent idea to get him moving. You have so much on your plate and doing what you can when you can is fine for now. Hugs to you too!

@laurelfit57 - I haven't interviewed in 12 years. It IS scary. But what I remember from the past is that each interview makes the next one easier. You get used to the questions and smooth out your answers. You got this! Thank you for thinking of me and understanding my sandwich life! Getting those boot spikes off will be awesome!

@Katmary71 - Oh no about your back! Sounds like you are taking good care of yourself while it heals! Wishing you a speedy recovery! Will be praying for that also!

Yesterday, I did not eat enough veggies- took daughter out for lunch, also went out for dinner. Had an appt, so only got walking done yesterday. It's time to get going on today's exercise. Strangely my weight is down. We'll see if that holds tomorrow. I'm going to be sure to wipe the dust off my scale so there's no extra weight on there. Not sure how it gets dusty since I weigh every day and wipe it down every week......

Took the dog to the vet yesterday. Because he is doing fine and I wanted to get a bit more info from her on his disease. Last time we were there, she squeezed him in because he was so sick and of course I thought of questions after I left. She was absolutely amazed at how he is doing. She said she did not expect him to be alive right now, let alone doing better. He's put a bit of weight back on.- he's no longer skeletal. She said to enjoy it as long as it lasts because at some point his disease will act up again and that will be it. Because we are doing everything we can do. I'm so glad for this temporary reprieve with all that is going on right now. <3 I think we got a little miracle. o:)

    My Spring Challenge commitment is:
    1) Read for 30 minutes a day or use my Scroll Saw - I Read the Institute, finished it and started The Stranger by Stephen King.
    2) Move at least 30 minutes a day or walk 3000 steps - 3694 steps so far today.
    3) Weigh everyday - 168.2

I'm really tired. I've been staying until 12:00 - 12:30 am so I sleep thru the night until 7am. At least I've not been up eating pickles in the night. I think I need a nap tomorrow morning to catch up on some sleep. I never feel rested when I wake up in the mornings. Mornings are usually really bad for me. I usually feel rested after a nap but my sleep doctor said not to take them so I will sleep thru the night. I think it will be okay to nap every now and then, I can't keep dragging myself around all day. I might need to go back to going to bed at 11:30 and eating pickles at 2 am. I wonder if that's why I'm getting headaches now, I've had to take a migraine tablet the last 3 days. Goodnight, everybody I hope you have a really good Friday.

Tired in California, signing off for the night.

I had some very bad news Monday afternoon and it threw me off - not as bad in the eating area, as in my sleep and water retention. Most mornings I can’t make a fist 😩. Scale jumped crazy up and down so the current number is irrelevant.
My 6*week exercise to end of April is still going on, with varied degrees of enthusiasm - oh well.
