Request for advise

Hi everyone. I am struggling with my excessive weight since 2.5 yrs ago. I was in a very good shape back in 2017 (170 lbs, 5’ 10”), but since I switched to desk work on April 2018, I started getting weight. At my heaviest I was 220 lbs early 2021 and now I am 206lbs.
I have to work behind the desk for more than 8-9 hrs per day and this is killing me. I get so tired and stressed that I feel I can’t do except sitting on the sofa after work and eat something. I used to go to gym but since the Covid hit up, I left almost I physical activities, working from home and working few steps from refrigerator.
I have missed the days that I was in good fit and weight, it is like a dream to me.
I have started to count my calories since few days ago and at the first step I am trying to stick to it.
I have set a plan to control the food and activities.
Any advise is appreciated. Thanks

    Get to the gym - I like going at lunchtime and then have a healthy salad with extra protein at my desk.
