I'm down 2.2 pounds from last week. I'm still just bouncing around at a higher weight than I've been for a while. My head is simply not in the game, I don't really know what else to say about it at the moment. I do need to figure out how to get back in it, though, because if I don't, I will eventually gain more and no longer be under my official WW goal weight.

I did claim to be participating in the 10# challenge, but that's been a bust. I don't even have the heart to post in that thread.

I was away this past week, and stayed in an area that had multiple kosher restaurants. I ate way more than I should have. My excuse is that I was very excited to be able to eat out. Maybe that's a reasonable excuse, I dunno.

Passover starts in 3 weeks. Passover can be a very challenging food holiday. The first two and the last two days are true holidays (i.e., no work, similar to Shabbat restrictions except that one is allowed to prepare meals), and the middle days are less restrictive except that we still stick to kosher-for-Passover foods (like matzah). While it's restrictive, there are a lot of unique Passover "treats" that appear for the holiday, and part of the fun is making unique Passover foods (matzah pizza, anyone?).

The upshot is that I already feel like my weight management is going to take a hit during the holiday. Conceptually, I know I could keep myself in check, and I also know I could prepare for the holiday by being a little extra-careful beforehand. I'm just not sure I have it in me right now.

    Maybe I'm just tired...or burnt out...or something.

+2.6 lbs @steveOmania pretty much summed it up for me. I have got to get serious about this and soon.

Steve - I tend to give myself some grace when traveling and during holiday#. I try to keep it from being wild abandon, but for me, abstaining for the sake of discipline leads to eating other things as an act of rebellion. Maybe that’s just me.

    At any rate . . . .

I was up 0.4 this week, with no singular or apparent reason. I didn’t eat any differently than the prior week, and probably got in a bit more physical activity. (I’m twenty post-holes into what is now a fifty post-hole project, but that’s another topic.) Not saying all my decisions were good, nor that I was perfectly on plan, but rather that I was consistent with past weeks and got an inconsistent result.

No, I’m not going to blame sodium. I’ll just offer a mini-rant that any gain tends to get “oh, it must be sodium”. If I were a lawyer, I’d be exploring a defamation class action against WW and Connect for all the abuse they shower on sodium. Sometimes, stuff just happens. I think a lot of what gets blamed on sodium is just stuff in the slow lane somewhere between the duodenum and the sigmoid colon. (Rant out.)

So I was up - huh. I think I’ll blame it on a high pressure system. I mean, it make sense that with higher pressure, I’d be pushed down into the earth a bit harder - and isn’t that all the scale measures?

    🤷‍♂️
