I have been on Keto diet for a week, I've lost 5 lbs. . I have done this diet before and five to 7 lbs is all I usually use. I was on for 3 months at my longest, I just got tired of not losing weight. My question is about Keto flu, I have never had it so bad as I do this time? How long does it usually last. Fatigue and headaches

To avoid the so-called Keto flu, make sure you are getting your electrolytes. You are missing some. Try pink salt to help you get over it quicker. I got it bad the first time I was on Keto. This time I didn't get it at all due to making sure my electrolytes were up there. Pink salt, No Salt, pickles, veggies.

As for you not losing weight, are you sure your carbs were low? Carbs can be sneaky and be in places you wouldn't expect. I've lost 10 pounds per month while eating Keto. Some people lose even more. Within 3 months, I had lost almost 30 pounds. Do you eat strict Keto, or do the lazy keto that some people do? Count net carbs instead of total carbs? Without knowing what you consumed during those 3 months, it's hard to figure out.

I eat Keto because I'm diabetic. Now that my numbers are good, I've started slowly adding carbs back into my diet. But denser carbs, not simple carbs like in donuts, etc. I'm not ready for that yet. But whole grain breads, more vegetables, etc. I'm maintaining which is the end goal. Good luck!

NYphotographer2021 is spot on with the electrolyte advice.

Unfortunately, if you go several months and you know you aren't getting sneaky carbs, then you may still be eating too much. Up your protein and lower fat or start counting your calories to make sure you get into a calorie deficit so you can start losing weight. I have to log. Keto food is too delicious and I have a healthy appetite. So I have to log bc my appetite doesn't get a suppressed as some others to help naturally keep food intake down enough.
