@laurelfit57 - I like those ideas about maintenance! Excellent! Sounds like you did well adjusting for your friend's visit and for Easter.

Thank you all once again for the support regarding my pooch. I appreciate it very much.

@FushiaKat - slippery socks are the worst! I'm glad you found a new spice you like. I've tried some different Mrs. Dash and didn't really care for them. And very glad your flare is getting better.

@Katmary71 - It needs to stop raining so you can feel better. And that's funny about the cat situation being all about you. The little stinkers are probably partying when you leave. Ginger is very easy to grow here- needs practically zero care. I thought it was just ornamental, but a quick google says all parts of the plant are edible!

@micaroo4 - sounds like a nice day with your brother.

@trooworld - that's good that you are doing well eating with no refrigerator! Enjoy your time off. Taking walks has greatly reduced my anxiety, so try to fit one in.

@TeresaW1020 - I'm hanging. :) You hang in there too. You've been on quite a roller coaster with Joe and I know how exhausting that can be.

Sister in law and husband arrive in about 2 weeks for a short visit. I'm excited. We always go a bit overboard in getting the house ready. We need that push to get things done! Been cleaning outside and in and getting the yard looking nice. I have an ambitious To Do list for today, so I'd better get to work!

Happy Easter and/or Happy Weekend to all!

Such a beautiful day today. I've already been to the gym, straightened the house, and am washing now. Plan to take a drive out this afternoon and enjoy this day. Trying to find a red outfit to wear in a skit Sunday. I'm representing Jesus's blood. It's hard to find red this time of year but I have one more place to check. Everybody have the most amazing day an let's go get it! B)

@laurelfit57 - Yes! I don't like cleaning and while I do the basics on a regular basis, I'm not sure how long I would let those "under the couch" areas be dusty if I didn't have the push. I've tried for years to make a cleaning schedule, but I don't stick to it. I do feel very proud of my clean, shiny house and yard. Love, love LOVE the glow paint ride! You and your daughter are so cute!

Mostly got my To Do list done yesterday. Now I have another one to work on today. Husband took me out for a nice dinner last night. Enjoyed it! Happy Saturday!

This is the result of stress and a series of unhealthy choices on my part. I take full responsibility and will do better next week. I started reading Never Binge Again and hope to use that information to make better choices in the future.

@Cornanda Like you my house always gets the best cleaning as when people are coming and might look into areas that aren’t usually exposed to eyes that aren’t mine.

@laurelfit57 Thank you for your kind and supportive words. <3 What a fun thing to do with your daughter! I love the glow paint!

@bgame4 I know how frustrating it is when we turn to food when we are stressed. Be kind to yourself and make a plan on what you will do to change things this week. I’m glad you are reading the book! I am getting so much out of it. :)

@trooworld I hope the comedy club is a ton of fun. I did that once and really enjoyed it. The comedian made fun of the people at our table, which was both hilarious and very embarrassing. :D

Hi Team! Today has been a good day. I had a good workout this morning and then Joe and I ran up to the church to make sure everything is set for Easter service and then to the grocery store. Joe was tired but we went slow, and he was happy to get out for a while. I ordered the Never Binge Again workbook called I Love My Workbook. I’m really hopeful that it will give me some good insights into how to change my unwanted behavior. I’m also fearful that it will just be another thing that I get excited about and then it fizzles out and I won’t be any different. But I also know that my Pig would love nothing better than for me to think like a failure so I’m really working on NOT doing that. My new #1 Rule is: I will NEVER AGAIN eat sugar/refined carbs when I am alone. I also made a #2 rule that says, I will ALWAYS give 100% effort to my workouts. Now, let’s make it happen! :)

Just a quick note about the no salt lemon pepper spice, I too have tried some before and hated it. I found that at Sam's club. I don't like Mrs. Dash seasonings. But I do like Kingsford No Salt Original Seasoning, and the no salt spice blends from Costco and Sam's club. But sometimes I'm not in the mood for all those herbs. It tastes more like salt than any other no salt spice blend I've tried. I will be buying more.

@Cornanda I am exactly the same cleaning, I even tried using an app to help me get organized and on the schedule, to no avail. Cleaning is not my forte! But… When company is coming to stay, that is a great motivator for me :-) :-). Sounds like you are getting everything checked off those to do lists, great job! How lovely that your husband took you out to dinner❤️

@tammymccrady6278 sorry to hear you weren’t feeling well, hopefully you are on the road to recovery!

@trooworld I don’t know why, but I find new appliances terribly exciting! I am so happy for you :-) :-). Sounds like you have a super fun night lined up, enjoy!

@TeresaW1020 sounds like you have had a busy day. I think that we have to just keep trying things until we find what works for us. Over the years I have tried what seems like 1 million things, I think I FINALLY have my recipe that works for me:-). I love your rules!!

Well it was a super busy day, I have everything cooked for tomorrow’s dinner and the dining room table is set up already for the food to be put out. Can I just say how challenging it was to not be tasting as I usually do when I cook! There were certain points where I did have to do some tasting but I tried to keep it to a very minimum and maybe half a teaspoon. It is very helpful that tomorrow is weigh in day🤣. The only thing I have to do tomorrow is cook the ham and perogies, everything else just needs to be heated. I am now going to pass out lol

@micaroo4 Birthday brunch sounds wonderful, yum!I hope one of these guys who ride bikes can help you.

@TeresaW1020 I'm sorry Joe is stuck with the catheter for now. I hope they can give him something to help and the catheter is a temporary thing. The scope isn't too bad for women compared to other things I've had done but I'm sure it's not as easy for men since their urethra is longer. I think those are doable goals as far as Never Binge Again. My SIL one time said to take what works for you from things and leave what doesn't. For some reason it was real eye-opening to me because I throw myself into everything 100% and if it doesn't work I'm done, it's been something I've been trying to change about myself.

@Cornanda I joke I need someone to say they're visiting and cancel right before like once a month so I get the house clean, it definitely helps!

@askewcr Sounds like you got a lot done, you go get it too my friend!

@laurelfit57 What a fun spin class, that's awesome! I love that you and your daughter did it together, you both look so beautiful and healthy. I bet you call that instructor Vannie on accident one of these days! Sounds like you picked a smart weigh-in day! I used to weigh on Sundays to keep myself in check over weekends too. Have fun tomorrow!

    @tammymccrady6278 I hope you're feeling better soon.

@bgame4 I hope you enjoy the book, I need to go put a hold on it with my library so we can all talk about it!

@trooworld Have fun at the comedy event, I hope he doesn't mess with you! You're getting your fridge fast, that's awesome! Hope you have a blast tonight!

Hi everyone, happy Easter! I'll be gone tomorrow and probably won't check in tomorrow night. I'm going to my parents with my brother's family and still not feeling too hot so will probably be worn out. The puppy is coming so it should be interesting. My brother said they have Kona coffee and macadamia nuts, I really hope it's not chocolate covered ones or I'm going to be in trouble. Been taking it easy but a friend in the local CRPS group posted a thing about flare-ups and since the weather is wonky and I did too much last weekend I totally get my problem, just am not coming out of it very fast. I've been playing with making an appointment for steroids but would rather come out of it naturally. Have a great one!

Just a quick check in, waiting in line for spin class:). I am so excited to finally be in the 130s!!!! This week my goal is to just stay the same. Between Easter dinner and a couple of late nights this week I think it’s a good goal:)

It must be such a great feeling!?! I can’t wait to get into the 130s!! At the moment I’m 144.0 so not far to go but I keep losing and gaining the same few lbs 😕. I really need to just stay on track!!

@TeresaW1020 - I hope you had a nice Easter. I hope the scope goes well and Joe gets the cath out this week. What is the workbook like?

@laurelfit57 - I hope you enjoyed eating your Easter dinner after all that cooking. How great to be so close to your goal and see that 3 in your number! Go You!

@Katmary- I'm coming to visit, so get to work! (but wait until your flare settles down. I'm hoping that will be soon)

@trooworld - Glad you got your fridge and some laughter this weekend. Both were much needed.

Not much new here..... Easter was quiet- the kids were not here. Made a ham. Still working on my To Do list. Liking my progress. Now I have to make progress with my health this week also!

@Katmary71 I hope you had a great Easter with your family. Soooo did the macadamia nuts have chocolate on them. Either way, I would have eaten too many!

@laurelfit57 Wahoooo on being in the 130s!! B) You have been so consistent in your effort and proved to yourself and the rest of us that if you do put in the work it will pay off. I’m super happy for you and can’t wait to celebrate once you get that last 3.8 lbs off.

@Cornanda Easter was very nice and I certainly hope Joe gets that cath our tomorrow. I’m wayyy too involved with my husband’s bodily functions! :s What steps are you going to take this week to help with your health? I am finding it helpful to put things down in writing and refer to them often. ;)

@trooworld that is a good deal of meal prepping and will for sure pay off for you this week. :)

Hi Team! Today has been fairly OK. The last two mornings, Joe has been dealing with some major dizziness. We are going to have to see his primary about readjusting his meds because having him pass out on me every morning is getting old! :# Tomorrow we go to the urologist and maybe we will get some useful answers there. I’m really praying we don’t end up with more bad news. I was happy to lose a little weight this week and if it wasn’t for my yummy dinner and pie and ice cream, it would have been even more. Next week!

Lol, on Saturday morning I broke the handle on our kitchen faucet. It was dripping and I pushed on it too hard and broke it, it still turned the water off when in the middle but on in both directions. Hub sent me to Home Depot with instructions on what to buy, brand, size, etc. I found one that really appealed to me but brought home two styles in case he didn't like it. We got it installed. I love it, but hub asked me why I got that one, I could only state the truth, it appealed to me. He does not like the handles they are a bit longer than the last style. I love the sprayer; it locks in 4 positions. I don't have to fight it to get it to stay pointing forward. The faucet also has more pressure that we both love.

Then yesterday when I was making lunch, I could not figure out why it was taking so long to defrost my shrimp in the microwave, I must have had it in there for 4 minutes when it usually only takes less than 2. Our over the range microwave bit the dust. OMG finding a new one was impossible with the task hub gave me to get a low profile one, but all of those stick out 18-19 inches and he wanted no more than 16. I did find one, but he says he's going to cut the cabinet to make it sit up higher. This will turn into another unfinished project in the house. Ugh is all I have to say about that. I forgot how often I use our microwave and the new one won't be delivered until May 12th, so this morning hub took the microwave out of our Camper for me to use in the meantime. I tried to make popcorn in it this but burnt it! Ugh the smell. I will figure it out.

Since things usually break in 3's in our house I'm waiting for the third thing.

@amioc it is a great feeling you will be there very soon. I did the same with losing and gaining since December. I bounced around between 141-145, I finally feel like I am ready to be done:). You will get there!!

@Cornanda I think I enjoyed our Easter feast a little too much🥰. Good for you for whittling that to do list down!!

@TeresaW1020 congratulations on the loss!!! You and Joe are really having a go of it! It has to be so exhausting for the both of you, please continue to take care of yourself❤️. Hope you get some useful and good news from the doctors!!

@Trooworld good for you with all the meal prep! What you made sounds absolutely delicious. I’m sure this is going to pay off for you big time this week.

@Fushiakat YIKES that is quite the weekend you had! Hopefully there will not be a third thing and things turn around:)

Well… I think I am still full from Easter dinner🤣. It was so wonderful to get together with the whole family, first time in two years. I definitely had too much to eat and one too many glasses of wine (I am seriously such a lightweight😜).
Almost all the food went home last night with everybody. I found a few things that I knew would be very tempting for me when I was cleaning up this morning, so they either went straight down the garburator or into the garbage. So glad I did that as I was craving bad food this afternoon, luckily there was none in the house🤣. I normally do not crave sweets. Why is it that the day after I have sweets, I crave them the next day? The desserts last night were magnificent :-)!
Hope everybody had a great Easter weekend. Back on track!

@trooworld Glad to hear you have the fridge squared away, I know that's a huge relief. Your dinners sound awesome, I need to start trying new things again.

@laurelfit57 Congratulations on hitting 130s, woohoo! Way to go on getting rid of everything. I'm the same way, once I have sugar I crave it again, I was thinking awhile ago I wish I brought home some chocolate!

Way to go team! Special congratulations to amioc, laurelfit57 @trooworld way to go gang!

@TeresaW1020 They brought them to share with everyone for dessert so that's better, I don't have an entire box in my house. Praying for Joe, hope the urologist and primary are helpful and get the dizziness and bladder issues under control.

@FushiaKat Oh no, it stinks when one thing goes out after another! I'm glad you had the one in the camper, mine was out for a few months and you really realize how much you use something like that a lot when you have to heat water and cans of soup on the stove.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great Easter. I had a great day with my family, the weather was beautiful and everyone was in an awesome mood. We took my brother's puppy with us yesterday and the poor thing threw up there and on the way back. I needed a decent picture for the charity website so I had my Dad take some, I haven't been sleeping well because of my pain and I can see it in the pictures but I'm trying not to sweat it and let it go. I'm in charge of the greenhouse this week and need to start a couple trays of seeds tomorrow. Had my therapy appointment and spent the day in the yard getting my flowers in around all the veggies. I've been talking to a new guy the last month or so and he may go with me to the concert, he has to see if he can get off work and lives 3 hours away so it's not a sure thing. Have a great Tuesday!
