How do I do this?

Hi, I just joined the group. I am breastfeeding my 3mo baby and I think I need to try eliminating dairy from my diet. He isn't colicky, but he has always been very gassy and he poops very green. What I've read seems to indicate that he is possibly sensitive to something in my diet, and dairy is the most likely culprit. I don't drink milk, but I do use cheese, yogurt, and sometimes have a whey protein drink post-workout. And, of course ice cream. :ohwell: And now that I'm looking for it, I'm finding there is milk or milk products in a lot of baked goods and "hidden" places. So, wow... eliminating diary is maybe a bit trickier than just avoiding the obvious.
So, any tips for this newbie? Is it hard? I need to eliminate for at least 3 weeks before evaluating whether it has made a difference for the baby.
