I just started taking a new brand of supplements. I was so excited about their probiotics...guess what? First ingredient: Skim milk. ARGH.
For those days I have to get my calorie count up. I have a no-bake recipe I'd already substituted coconut oil for butter, but need to see if I can find a good sugar substitute. I have agave syrup, but now I'm hearing negative things about it. But that's not related to dairy.

Come on...let me have it...what is it you miss most from the dairy food group? And what are you ok not ingesting?
What has your luck been with restaurants (chains or not) that have been dairy free friendly? What is your method of attack when you go out to eat and want to avoid dairy?
I am new and have dairy, soy and gluten issues. I also have problems with some nuts due to high oxalate rate for kidney stones. I don't want to use anything that is genetically modified either like wheat, canoli or corn. Have you found any substitutes for butter, sour cream, cheese, etc? Thanks for your help.
I'm not sure if I am just intolerant to Dairy or allergic but any ideas would be great - its not something I want to go to the doctor for because I know certain foods bug me, I can just avoid them. I can drink skim milk but anything more makes me sick (1%, 2% or whole), yogurt makes my stomach hurt and I get bad breakouts…

Have any of you had any luck in finding a truly good dairy-free strawberry ice cream? Even when Tofutti makes "neopolitan" ice cream bars, they put wild raspberry flavor in them, not strawberry. Is it just impossible to make? Has anyone found a good one yet?
