All of us are faced with those times when making the "best" choice is something that isn't going to happen. Sometimes that is by circumstance...sometimes by limited choice...or sometimes personal preference.

DOCKANZ, a GoaD stalwart for several years, coined the phrase "Make the Better Choice" (MTBC) several years ago, and it's become an anchor for several of us on GoaD over the years. Basically, if you can't make the BEST choice...make the BETTER choice. You can, at least, do that much.

So - how have you made the better choice this week?

I mentioned in the Friday weigh-in thread that I was going to have challenges this week with luncheons on Monday and Tuesday.

Monday was at a golf course grille, and we ordered from the menu. I opted for the chicken Caesar wrap as a moderately low point option, and then elected to have broccoli as the side instead of the fries that come with it.

Today was a pre-ordered luncheon with a cocktail hour first at a local restaurant. I elected not to order at the cash bar, and I had preordered the haddock. The dessert was tiramisu, and they plopped a plate of it in front of me. I ignored it, and had a cup of coffee while others ate their tiramisu. (It did look good.)

I figure the choice of broccoli and ignoring the tiramisu saved me about 700 calories. (Now where’s that emoji for patting yourself on the back?)

I am unsure how the actual calorie is going to go this week since I am eating out a lot. However, I am logging everything I eat, and I am MTBC by be truly mindful of WHAT I am eating.

Easter Sunday late afternoon lunch/ dinner I normally would have had seconds I didn't but the 1st plate was way too much.

Today I stuck with smaller than normal portions for lunch but I did eat a small bowl of cherry cobbler.

Tonight 4 oz beef and 2 cups steam brussel sprouts. For me that was good not eating any carbs.

Bad thing about it though earlier around 5 at a board mtg I ate a powdered cake donut from Dunkin last one in the box😒

Easter Sunday : Ate one of my son-in-law's burgers with scrumpdelioscious Aioli sauce. Sorely tempted to go for two (they were cooked, sauced, pickled and ready to eat) but felt reasonably full and satisfied with one.
