Hi, ladies. My weight today is irrelevant since I underwent a colonoscopy today and fasted yesterday and then went through that horrible prep routine, so my weight today is artificially low. I had a much rougher time with this procedure than I did with the one 7 years ago. I was violently ill at 4 this morning. I was literally lying on the bathroom floor because I did not think that I could get up without passing out. The procedure itself was not bad, but I am also not springing back like I did after the last one. For that one, I felt my normal self after I was released. Today, that is not the case. But I'm sure that by tomorrow I should be coming around the bend.
Lois, it sounds like you have some good plans in place, and I'm glad that you're finally able to focus more on you. I'm looking forward to hearing about the FB group.
Kelly, I forgot to congratulate you on your loss. A pound in a week is hard to do for us shorties. I hope the weather is improving up there. We went from unbearably hot and humid last weekend back to chilly and wet the past few days. (I prefer the chilly!) I know that all the activities take a lot of energy, but getting out for sports events sounds like a better way to spend evenings that sitting home watching TV, which many people do. After working all day, it's tempting to do that. And I find that if I'm out around people, my mood improves.
Sheesh, hope you had a wonderful time with the grands and seeing their parents, and I hope that you have a good trip home today. Looking forward to hearing about all you did out in Portland.
Well, I really have zero energy and a headache I just can't shake, so I'm going to sign off for now. My stats for last week were pretty good. I'll post them later. I know that with a couple of days down due to this procedure, next week will not look so good. But that's okay. I'm glad that I'm finally getting some of these appointments taken care of.

Well, I just remembered that today is weigh in day, lol. We're actually still in Portland, daughter and SIL return tonight and our flight out is tomorrow. I must have had brain fog because I told my trainer I would be back to train Thursday morning (nope) and I think I said that I'd be home on here also (nope). So, I'll be traveling tomorrow, and will try to post here on Friday. I'm sure my weight will be up . . grandma has to bake cookies, etc. ha ha!
Kelly, good job with the reduction in spite of all the business in your life.
Sarah, that procedure is a ***** !! I'm sorry you're not well because of it. The headache might be because of dehydration. I'm glad you got it done though.
Lois, sounds like life is getting back to "normalish". I recommend not waiting until it's all squared away before you start back on self care. Can't wait to hear about the FB group and fitness with the Oculus.
Be back Friday.

Happy Friday, everyone. Sheesh, I hope you had a safe and enjoyable trip home yesterday. I was still a bit off my game yesterday, but I'm feeling pretty much back to normal today. Given my body's tendency to have my blood pressure drop to dangerously low levels when I'm dehydrated, I doubt whether I'll go through this test again in 10 years, as recommended. Goodness, I'll be old enough to have it kill me then! LOL

Here are my stats from last week. As I said, they were really good, but this week, they will be way off, and I'm prepared for that. I wish that the almost 3 pounds I lost during this ordeal had stayed away, but I'm back up to 130.2 this morning.
Seven-day averages for May 18-24:
Steps = 15,098
Burn + 1,899 (I'm really proud of that!)
Stairs = 12
(Intake would not be helpful since I was fasting for an entire day and a half.)
It's nice to have this board to duck into to chat every now and then. Hubby's work is very intense now, so he's tired and under a lot of stress. Unfortunately, when that happens, he gets very testy and so I'm walking on egg shells at times. For more than a month, he has taken on his job, plus half the job for a VP of operations, as that position is now vacant at his company. And there are multiple serious issues going on with vendors, unions, and clients. Hopefully, his company will soon find someone qualified to take that position. If not, I may have to kill him. Can you help me hide the body? LOL
The good thing is that most of the country is already on Memorial Day vacation today, so unless there's a major accident somewhere, his phone should be quieter today. We expect severe storms here today, so I cancelled my usual walk and will have to hit the dreadmill. Things are improving tomorrow and so I'll spend time walking and swimming. On Monday, we are traveling a short distance to have a cookout with friends. I know that bar-b-que spareribs are NOT low in calories or fat, so I need to plan ahead to have a little cushion there. Oddly, I sometimes find that when I waver off my usual, I lose instead of gain, but I'm not going to fully count on that.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.0 -

Yikes! That's a big increase! I'm hoping it comes off quickly . . at least I'm still (barely) in the 120's.
We flew back Thursday, and I was exhausted and slept late on Friday, but still got a workout later in the day. That night, daughter called to tell us her hubby had home tested positive for Covid. Damn. Hubby and I don't feel sick, and we both tested negative late last night. I plan to test again on Sunday. We were only around him for a few minutes Thursday morning before he went to work in his office. We had planned to go to the cabin with out daughter's family here, but I think they'll be going without us at least until Monday. We wore masks everywhere we went in OR, and on the plane, even though hardly anybody else does. Of course, SIL is isolating himself to one floor of the house. I hope the granddaughters don't get it, and my daughter is going to have a lot and I hope she doesn't get sick. They're all vaccinated and boosted, thank goodness. And we had our second booster on April 6.
Sarah, your daily burn is great!! How do you get it up so high? I almost never get there, but looking at your step average, I never get than many steps either, lol! Great job!
Lois, I hope you're getting back into your self care routines soon.
Kelly, good reduction!
Sorry, but I'm off to get some things done, and call my daughter to see our SIL is feeling.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend.

Happy Tuesday ladies!! I’m hoping everyone had a great weekend. I also took Friday off and spent Friday and Saturday super deep cleaning our bedroom. OH man. ALl of the attention has been on the other two bedrooms, the downstairs den and moving my office space no less than 4 times. So the primary bedroom and workout equipment was super duper dusty (especially since I love to keep the windows open whenever possible and we live in the desert). So I feel good about the work/time/calories spent doing that. Hubby and I also took a stack of stuff back to storage. Not attempting mom’s stuff yet, but just getting room and shuffling…a lot of shuffling it seems. And we also cleaned the back patio and side as we have the new roof starting tomorrow morning so we had to move storage bins that have fertilizers, pool stuff, cushions and such in three separate containers. Moved those away from the house and moved my new bbq under the patio roof to protect it from falling tiles/debris. I don’t know if I mentioned but I have also been researching prepared foods to be delivered. I searched reviews of a few of them and this Factor75 was supposed to be pretty good. Well, to see what the meal options and pricing was, I had to enter my CC and, yep, we got caught in a subscription and were unable to cancel. We were able to cancel next week and beyond, but not this week’s so we received 10 prepared meals this morning. I had one of them for lunch and it was tasty (southwest chicken something). The sodium is high at 800+ but we’ll see how we do. It’s supposed to be more natural foods versus processed, so we’ll see.
I did bloodwork a week or so ago. Glucose was good, Hdl and trigs are still higher than we’d like. I meet with dr. on Thursday so we’ll see what he says. Everything else was in line. Just overweight and that’s probably effecting the other numbers.
Our friend from high school (actually our best man) lost his mom a couple of weeks ago so we’ll be heading to Cali next week for her service and be there for him. It’s going to be a quick turn around. We will not be staying the weekend as hubby has some TKD stuff going on so I can rest when we get home. Work started our summer hours today so we are working 9 hours and get to take off 4 hours on Fridays. So basically, I work what I’ve been working and get a half day off on Fridays…hahaha.
Sheesh - oh no to testing positive! Did you guys retest on Sunday? Bummer that you missed the holiday with your other daughter and grand baby. And I’m sure the excess weight is from travels and you’ll be down tomorrow. I’m glad you had a great time in Cali.
Ok…gotta run again…0
