I never thought I was an emotional eater...until recently

I have never considered myself to be an "emotional eater". When I'm sad, I don't sit around eating a tub of ice cream, or a box of cookies, so I tricked myself into thinking I don't eat my emotions. Boy have I been wrong! When I really started to look at what I was eating, when, and why, I discovered that I am a STRESS EATER. I really need some type of outlet for overcoming the temptation of ordering delivery at work when I'm having a particularly stressful day.

Good job identifying the trigger. That’s often the hardest part. Analyzing why we do what we do. When I get stress cravings I try to walk it off or drink a bunch of water or try something to get my mind off the food. Replace your bad habits with better habits. To avoid eating out i find it’s best to be prepared. Meal plan your lunches, make sure there’s a good source of protein, don’t skip meals. And water water water. Good luck and reach out for support 🤗 hugs

I too eat because of stress - it's about comfort I think. I am trying to find ways of comforting myself. I would love some ideas...usually I just get angry and just eat, and eat...welllllll you get it.
