Well still not far enough away from 130/131 to make me feel like I'm over the hump, but I was very happy to see that "2". I might add that I was also surpised since we had a shrimp dish last night that included feta, and of course that is very high in salt. Plus we ate dinner at 9 p.m. It was one of those days.

My 7-day averages were okay this week and each was a little better than last week, so that's good.

Steps = 12,518
Kcals burned = 1,750
Stairs = 17 flights

I am actually a little surprised at those numbers because on two days, I could not meet my walking buddy because of her appointments or mine. On one of those days, I swam and spent a little time on the TM; on the other day I walked outside. And when I say "swam," I do not mean that I swam laps, but rather I swam a lap or two and then floated around talking to people, then swam a lap or two and walked a bit in water with folks. So I'm sure I didn't burn a lot of calories. And although my outside route is hilly, it's only 3 miles.
However, I've also found that just doing something different sometimes has a positive
effect.

Kelly, I read your last post last night, and it really cheered me up. Can't say exactly why, but it did. :) Having some days in the week (besides the weekend) when you don't have to work is great. If I could go back, I surely would work less that the 50 to 60 hour weeks that are often expected of Federal contractors, i.e., I would not stay a Federal contractor. (Shoulda, woulda, coulda!)

Sheesh, fireworks after a ballgame sounds grand, and I remember that beautiful photo you shared of the ballpark with the mountains in the background. Fireworks are also planned at Nats Park on Friday night, but since DC is CRAZY during the 4th of July, I doubt we go down. My poor Nats are doing better though. We've won 6 of our last 8 games. I know you're also looking forward to seeing the kids and the grands. :smile:

Lois, the story was such fun. I can just envision you with that big ole camcorder and a moose bearing down on you! From what I hear, a moose is not an animal you mess with. Hope you also get some time this week to chill and do something fun. After the first half of this year, you are due some good times.

Well, I need to do something productive, but I'll check in again later. Our appointment at Fidelity was cancelled at the last minute, so I have time to attack that to-do list again.

    ARGH! And tomorrow is hubby's birthday, and I'm baking cookies and making popcorn balls for our camping trip. I can't even . . Well, all I can do is keep trying. I've been frustrated with MFP app on my iPhone, which is where I log. It's been changed which would be okay if it wasn't so buggy, freezing and hard to use. Have any of you noticed this? I've had to uninstall/reinstall, restart phone, etc. My daughter in OR uses a different app . . "Lose It". I might have to check it out.

    Lois, your snowmobile story was fun. We did the snowmobile trip in Yellowstone years ago with friends, and I'm glad because they don't do them anymore.

    Sarah, I agree with Kelly, you're doing great! My doctor keeps telling me that I'm not "overweight" and neither are you. We all have our personal goals though, and I understand and support that. But, don't stress too much. And, go Nats!!

    Kelly, I was happy to see your post. I think about you up north in Canada . . sometimes I think I want to join you there, lol!

    My baby granddaughter here started saying "da da" and "ma ma" very clearly. She also got some new very cute shoes that she is so proud of! Showing them off, and you can tell she feels very cute while wearing them, ha ha!

    Sorry for the short post, but I've got cookies in the oven.

    Just quickly checking in. Sheesh, I love it when little ones are so proud his/her shoes or outfit. Just the pure joy! And I agree that enjoying life (including some sweets now and then--and for me, mostly now--is okay just as long as we're in a pretty much normal weight range and our health is okay. I would still like to be a little lighter, but when I look back at 156 pounds (where I started), I get grateful quickly.

    And Lois, you said Bison and my brain just switched it to Moose. Perhaps because hubby has a Moose story.

    Kelly, I looked at the weather map and it appears that you are still getting rain. I think the two of us will mold soon! But like Sheesh, I sometimes think I want to join you up there. We seriously thought about it a few years ago, but even though we are both public health folks, which we thought might be attractive, we barely got the points needed. And of course, now our age would set us back. Wish we had at least worked internationally early in our careers.

    Good morning ladies. Well my world has been very swirly this week. Got my pesky chin hairs lasered off on Sunday and BAM! there went my vertigo. Fortunately it settled while I was there and was able to drive home. Got home and tilted my head just right and I almost went to the ground. I was a drunken sailor getting from the car to the house. Hubby freaked and thought I had driven that way - I would never!! So I've been to therapy a few times this week to get it rolled back in and I think it's finally settled. Thankfully my neighbor was available to take me as hubby still can't drive. We are supposed to drive up north for a wedding on Saturday, but we decided last night that we are not going to go. We can't risk my head getting swirly with mountain driving (which I despise to drive those curves and we can't rely on hubby to drive). We're both a bit bummed with that decision, but it's the best and the safest. We did get our new car, and it's a beautiful black metallic and of course we started monsoon, which is light sprinkles and rain so the car is absolutely beautifully spotted...lol. We haven't really had the thunderstorms and downpour to really rinse it off. It's driving hubby bonkers but it gives me a chuckle. I took it in (ok neighbor drove it) to get the clear bra put on it. We couldn't tell if they really cleaned the hood before applying it, so we need to get it washed and verify. I'll be so disappointed if they left crud under there. I'm still unclear why it wasn't installed before we picked it up. Anyhow, that's our first world challenge of the week. It has the parking assist and the birds eye camera too. I'm having fun learning the new stuff.

    Food and eating is still Door Dash for the most part, again since my head has been so swirly, not much I could do to cook anyhow. Today's the first day I'm feeling normal. We had Rhea and her parents up on Saturday. Rhea approved the new car and decided which seat we needed to put her car seat (behind the driver's side). She didn't want the passenger side, actually she wanted the third row seat, which I said nope. Grammy can't reach you back there. She can only sit there when Mommy or Daddy are with us. Plus the new car seat is a bit more challenging to install than her other seat was. The other was click click click pull the straps and solid. This one took quite a bit of tugging to get it solid. May splurge when we get the new van and put one in there to stay... switching it between the vehicles could be hard.

    Glad you gals enjoyed the bison story. We still chuckle. And that's a bummer they've discontinued the snowmobiles. It was such great fun, but I presume there were several violators that either went off trail or were bothersome to the wildlife. It was such a beautiful journey. We've done it there and at Lake Tahoe. Such beauty to enjoy.

    Sarah, Sheesh and Kelly. When you're feeling down about your numbers, remember I am literally 100 over you gals. And the pics I've seen of both of you, you're all beautiful and healthy!

    Gotta run to an appt. Back later.

    I'm so glad my post made you happy Sarah :smile: Always like to hear that!

    Ugh that vertigo Lois! That sucks. Hopefully the swirliness goes away soon! <3

    Happy Birthday to your Hubby Sheesh!! Mmm popcorn balls. :p

    It's my Friday today, since tomorrow is our holiday. Hubby and I will be working on finishing our patio if the weather cooperates and we'll probably head to my parents for a visit too.
    Ugh.. our weather. It has pretty much rained almost every single day so far this Spring/Summer. You're right Sarah, we're going to start molding. Our grass even has mushrooms in it. Normally that only happens on the sides that don't get a ton of sun, where it's damp all the time, but there are more in the middle of our lawn now too. So weird.

    Tonight, Hubby and I are headed to a Brewery for a friend's Birthday. Should be a fun time. 1 more hour of work and I'm outta here. Have a fantastic weekend ladies!

    My personal goal for the weekend is to add weight training back into my daily routine.

    Happy Canada Day, Kelly. I will join you with that goal.
