I'm up 0.6 pounds, but I'm actually happy/fine with this. Last week I was down a lot (like 4 pounds), so it's not unanticipated that I would be up a little from that. With that said, this was actually a really good and successful week for me. I stuck to my plan, and avoided snacks and alcohol during the week, with more leniency last Friday night/Saturday (Shabbat). I got in 4 days of running as well.

The scale didn't "reward" my efforts, per se, but I'm coming to appreciate that my weight seems to lag behind my intake/exercise by a couple of weeks. I imagine I may lose a little by next week's weigh-in.

Overall, I'm feeling much more in-control of myself. I'm off the gout meds, and I learned a lesson from the week I spent over my official WW goal weight (apparently due to the meds and associated fluid retention). I want to get myself down to my personal target weight (130) and I will need to keep my focus more than I have in the past.

I forgot to weigh this morning so will report tomorrow.

But it's been a really good week in terms of tracking everything, sticking to my calorie goal and limiting junk food.

Down 6. Still below goal (6+ pounds below). Like Steve, working further downwards is the goal.

Down 6 lbs this week adding last week's drop of 7.4 lbs. Making a 2 week drop of 13.4 lbs.

Some what of an explanation of the reason for these drops. It starts with a medical issue. I now ae been officially diagnosed with a non functioning bladder. This means I will have to wear a urine bag with a catheter. During this process I have been retaining large amounts of water so now hopefully I can get back to somewhat of a normal life. I've been able to get rid of a lot of water weight so now let's see how we can do going forward.

I did not expect to lose weight while I was in Kansas for my niece's white coat ceremony. I knew there would be ribs and brisket at some point. Still, I walked each day I was out there. - three miles in about 50 minutes at 80° - in lieu of other exercises. I also was restrained in the airport lounges, having a little “free food” but not a lot. My choices were generally good, and I did not use all,y weekly and activity points for the week.

So I was a bit surprised to be up 6.2# this week. There were two meals that were challenges - the ribs/brisket (worth it), and the late meal on the trip home when Applebees was the only option. I didn’t make a great choice there, but I was restrained.

Well, sometimes you get the scale and sometimes the scale gets you . . .

    Signed,

    I'm up .4.

As I said above, I had a good week. Tracked everything and set a hard limit on junk food.

I just need to repeat and let the scale catch up.

I just started tracking here on My Fitness Pal 2 weeks ago. The last time I tracked was on the WW paper books. That should tell you something. " I didn't leave WW; but WW left me." So according to my official scale at home, in 2 weeks I've lost about 5 lbs (ie: 2.5 lbs per week). That seems about accurate for taming my eating habits. Progress not perfection. Stay tuned.
