@AshenMoon That is great news on feeling better! Super excited for you.

@micki48 How was work? Hope you are enjoying it. How many boxes of books did you move into the school?

@kellie_erin (((hugs))) so sorry you have so much to deal with right now, family pressures and pain. It's tough to get through it all, I agree. I have had similar family pressures when taking care of both my aged parents. Feeling defeated is not uncommon. I don't mind listening to your venting and please do look after yourself.

@kellie_erin I second that - come here to vent and cry on our shoulders any time. The combination of family illness and huge uncertainty added to the stress of constant pain is rough. You are right to say that some of the pain might improve with a weight loss, but not all the other problems will go away. Ask for help as much as you need to, and take breaks whenever you can. Hugs galore on the way.

    Popping in to third that!
I hope your check-in on your step dad went okay.
You have been facing a lot of stress from a lot of different angles. Add in physical pain, and it's a lot. We're glad to have you here.

    Good morning WaistAways!

The scale continues to be mean to me, and so much is happening!
    How is prep going?

It's going pretty alright. I think I'll make it through remembering most of my routine at this point, so hopefully I can lock the rest of it in by next Friday! Thanks for asking!

    Have a great day, everyone!

@kellie_erin You have a lot going on right now. Big Hugs. Focus on what you can control because a lot of that is out of your control. I hope things calm down soon, but you can always vent to the group. We are here for you.

@conleywoods high five!!! My goal is to leave at 7:30, but we usually don't leave until 7:40....sometimes 7:50!!! My middle schooler rides the bus, but she joined student council (which is a huge deal for my little introvert) and I have to leave here by 7:20, at the latest.

@KellyBgetsfit Oh man, tummy stuff is no joke. I am always working on gut health stuff and I use the prebiotic/probiotic called seed. I also eat sourdough bread and kombucha pretty regularly. I think I recall that you get your protein powder from Costco? Not sure if you are using protein powder right now. My wellness coach has a few brands of protein powder from Costco that are forbidden because they contain sucralose. Premier protein is one of those brands and a few others. Sucralose is an artificial sweetener and 80-90% of it passes through your gut during digestion. It has a really negative effect on your microbiota and microbiome. It is similar to the effects of taking antibiotics. Some companies hide this ingredient by just putting artificial flavors on the label. Do some research on your protein powder and check for sucralose. It could be really messing with your tummy. It could be stalling your progress if your gut health is suffering. Hope you figure out what is going on.

@jugar I'm reading 'The End of Craving' after finishing the 'Dorito Effect'

I'm about half way through and it's definitely opening my eyes to all the food additives I likely don't even know I'm eating and the effects of 'calorie mismatch' on the way our brains react to food uncertainty. Wow!
I can see the benefits of whole foods coming out as conclusion of this. Can't wait to finish it.
