Today's Topic: In a hurry out the door! Food, Snacks? I know we've all been in this situation even those who are retired. So how do you handle being really busy and need to get out the door and either missed a meal or need something to grab and go.
What kind of grab and go snack to you grab? Is it a healthy snack bar, something you have made in the fridge or just say forget it and catch up later.

1st again apologies for being busy life goes on.
I actually am in that situation as I type right now. I need to run out the door to pick something up and be back to a 4:00 pm appointment.
I usually keep some kind of snack in the car but their usually not very healthy thus weight gain happens and if I skip a meal I tend to eat more at the next meal thus weight gain there as well.

I'm pretty busy for a 75 year old mostly business. Wouldn't have it any other way but busy none the less. I've been self employed most of my life so I just stay busy.

Enough excuses I'm getting acclimated to this new lifestyle of living with a urine bag. Staying positive about it and moving on.

I usually do Fiber One bars. As meal "replacement" I use their 9gm fiber bar (4 points). Otherwise, the chocolate pretzel chewy bar (2 points, or 2 for 3 points).

I don’t tend to take food with me. Somehow, dealing the the related detritus - banana peels, apple cores, etc - just hasn’t seemed worth it. I’m just as capable of overeating after a normal meal as I am if I skipped a meal.

Another vote for Nature Valley Protein Bars. Sometimes an apple or banana. When I started WW I carrying a lot of apples around with me. I found them very helpful. This was before “free fruit,” they were 1 pt.

I tend not to take food with me if I'm in a rush. However, I do have to do a lot of pre-planning if I won't be having my lunch (or dinner) at a regular time/place (mostly having to do with keeping kosher, but it also helps a lot with my weight management). For example, yesterday, the family and I went to a museum that was about an hour away from home. We packed our own lunches before we left and popped out to the car to eat them mid-day. I am also willing to eat earlier than usual if I know that I'll be busy during lunch-time.
