Got a medical question for you. Thought I'd toss this out, as a few of us are in the 100+ loss club.
I have a "belly flap". Really not considering surgery at all. Anything you, or others may know of to reduce/flatten/firm it up?
This can be discussed via email if you prefer. ALANLHOWARD@COMCAST.NET

As you know, the belly flap generally is excess skin. Time may help a bit, but it's hard to imagine that a 100+ pound loss belly flap will disappear even with lots of time. Sorry to say.
I actually had an abdominoplasty after losing 50 pounds. I didn't have that much extra skin (some, but not crazy amounts), but my abdominal muscles (the rectus abdominis) were separated. These are the "six pack" muscles, and are typically immediately next to each other. Pregnant women often have a separation of these muscles, and I guess those of us who carried a fair amount of their fat intra-abdominally can also get separation of these muscles. This almost ends up acting like a hernia through the middle of the abdomen, so even with tight skin, there is an outpouching of the belly. The surgery pulls these muscles back together and helps to flatten the stomach muscles to where they are supposed to be.
Sorry no good answer here!0 -
