Same. I'm 51 and boy has Mary Penopause made her presence known.
I'm happy to chat around in this thread or others and see what kind of momentum we can build. There don't seem to be many (if any) active groups on here regarding any of this which is strange.
One thing I can throw out there is a podcast that I listen to pretty regularly called Thinner Peace. It's all about weight and menopause. Her main mantra is "eat when you're hungry, stop when you're full".
Easier said than done, but what I didn't realize is that our appetite naturally decreases when we hit our 30-40's, but we don't automatically decrease our intake to go along with that. It's interesting.
I think pairing that mindset with nutrition and supplements has been helping me as I navigate this. I still bleed, sometimes regularly, sometimes not. Physical activity definitely helps for me - usually a daily walk - but I'm about to start working strength training in (I fell off that wagon a long time ago). All I can think is that if Joyce Vedral can look the way she can... we can too.
There's also a workout program through Natural Health Sherpa called Metabolic Renewal that I signed up for. It's a one time charge of like $30 I think, and it's streaming. It's supposed to stimulate Human Growth Hormone which in theory would counteract the hormonal changes we're going through.
Anyway. I'm open to discuss and share information that we find. It's so frustrating that NO ONE TALKS ABOUT MENOPAUSE yet we all go through it.0
