Had a good weekend. Went to the gym yesterday and took a nice walk with a friend today. Harvested a bunch of basil from the garden and made pesto and basil oil today. Also apple crisp with the neighbor's apples.

It's starting to get a chill in the air! I love fall!

hi all. my name is roger. i am currently in the goal zone, having "finished" my loss. here's a little about myself.
I have been in this group for about a year, i believe. i started this session of my weightloss journey in march 2019. i weighed 566 pounds and had been housebound for 1 1/2 years, being unable to stand for more than 2 minutes, walk 150 feet or fit into a vehicle. the V.A. came to my home to work with me every 2 or 3 weeks for 2 years. i lost 10-12 pounds per month from october 2019 until october 2021. i currently weigh 233 pounds today and have had one skin removal surgery on my thighs.
i used to be on 2 blood pressure meds, none now. i took 8 fish pills a day, now 4. i have to take a vitamin d pill daily since i wasn't in the sun for so long.
my goals for october are: stay between 225 and 235. exercise, either cardio or weights 5x a week.
work better on controlling my snacking. have fun at halloween and attend a party if invited. i haven't been to one since i was a kid. i believe i now have the confidence to finally attend one.
stating goals is rare for me. i tend to obsess on them if i state them. like megan, i am an open book. feel free to ask me anything.

    Good Monday Morning everyone.

I'm new to the group this month and I thank you all for the warm welcome already.

Little bit about me, I'm 47 years old, married, have 3 kids (21,19 &17) and one dog.

Weight journey wise I am a yoyo dieter. Exercise is not my problem, food is. I love it. Not the good healthy food the junkier the better. I can honestly say I love Mcdonalds and could eat it every day for all 3 meals. :( I used to yoyo between150-143 always wanting to reach 140. Why I am stuck on numbers on a scale is another thread.

9 years ago, I went back to school and changed my job. Freshman 15 hit and then my new career didn't help. Since then, I have been on and off myfitnesspal and going between 172-155.

For myself I really need to pre-plan and prep meals. If I don't have it readily available, I will pick the quickest option which is usually fast food or a bag of chips. I work 7am-7pm or longer so all of my meals are at work, and I have huge cravings to snack at night when I get home, or somedays I will be so busy I will not eat or even drink all day.

This week has been a mix. I started with an overly inflated initial weight, 168.8, due to a pizza and beer party the night before. I had one failed day with snacks and cals over 2,000 but I also had 2 days of too low-calories. I know the reasons and I know the corrections. Exercise was ok I managed to get 3 runs in but only 1 strength training but considering I worked over 60 hours this week I'm good with that.

    Oct. 2 steps- 17,616

    5'8"
    PW-168.8
    CW-160.2

    This week goals:
    1: Prep and Plan meals
    2: Run x4
    3: Strength x3
4: Close all my circles on my apple watch

I would like to join the step tracker group for October if I may. I currently do about 7,000/day. One of my new October goals is to hit 8,000/day. Thanks. I am not sure how this works, exactly. Do I report on a daily basis or weekly? Is it liketge weigh INS where you have a specific day? Do you need my end of September numbers or do I just start with October?

    Here are my October numbers

    Oct 1: 7448
    Oct 2: 3049

All my numbers will be coming from my Fitbit.

Let’s set the goal at 8,000, in keeping with our monthly activity. Start on Oct 2nd, got it. I wasn’t sure if you had it set up like the weigh ins starting on the first Sunday of the month. If it is Ok with you, I’ll just report on a weekly basis to cut down on the paper work. 👍

I really do need to at least try to stick to a whole recorded day, one day a week. For instance, today breakfast and dinner were fine. Lunch was more calorie dense because I added a fresh fruit smoothie. To that fresh fruit smoothie, I added dried golden berries, goji berries, etc. It wound up being delicious and way more calories than I had planned. 😉
