Hi. Ok. My BMR 1544
TDEE 2394
TDEE 15% 2034
Moderate exercise
I burn 500 calories in exercise a day..5X a week.
When i subtracT my 500 cal from my cut..im left with 1534...lower than my bmr. Is thst ok? I understand that the formula calculates my exercuse in there but .i wonder if I am burning more than what it automatically calculates.

When you figure out your TDEE, your exercise is already in there. Why is it that you are subtracting 500 calories from your cut number? I am not sure I understand that... If you are not doing a reset and just going right to cut, then you will want to go up to that 2.034 figure --- no need to cut any additional calories.

Feel free to add me if you would like support along the way :-)

If you will be netting frequently below BMR your activity level is not moderate, but active.
We tend to underestimate our activity levels.
Did you calculate how much the difference would be if you increased to the next level?

So IF your method of calculating calorie burn is correct, you'll be 10 calories below BMR on 5 days a week, and on 2 days a week you'll be 490 calories above BMR.

    Ya, you'll be just fine.

Consider also, that 500 cal estimate, even if correct, includes in it your resting level of calorie burn already. The tables or HRM or whatever don't know what your burn would have been sitting during that equal time, to subtract it out.

So technically speaking, 500 - normal maintenance level calories during that period = calories burned above and beyond what was expected already.

When you do that, your 500 becomes probably 450-470. Now you aren't really below BMR.
Besides which, you can find all manner of 24 hr periods in your week where you literally do not eat enough as your BMR was burning during that time. Body doesn't stop at midnight.

Right. Yes i use a hear rate monitor. So i should be fine doing a cut at 2034?
