Paleo/ primal supplies in Canada

I read all these great US paleo blogs with awesome recipes and lunch ideas and I have a hard time finding many of the ingredients in Canada. For starters amazon do not ship food items to Canada and we do not have Trader Joes here.
Many things are insanely expensive like almond flour $10 / lb, but at least I can find it. So far Costco is my best source. It carries coconut oil at reasonable price and it carries chia seeds, kale chips, and lots of different nuts at acceptable prices.
I wonder where other people buying paleo friendly food in Canada?
I have not find any places with grass fed butter, jerky, bologna or any meat products. I gave up buying meat in grocery stores, and decided to buy a half pasture raised cow and pig, which would last us a yr. Although those are great for dinner , I have a hard time for portable food.
I have a small child who I have to pack lunch on daily basis. As most kids, he likes to take hot dogs, bologna, cold cuts etc to school. Well I have never seen any of these from grass fed source around here. As school starts in 3 days I am getting anxious about the issue. I just read some lunchbox ideas on my of favourite paleo blog paleomom.com and every single school lunch she showed had something that I can not find in Canada. We are using up the last bit of my cold cut / hod dog/ sausage stash I bought a while on a deep discount and I am not buying those types again, because all of them have some nasty ingredient.
Anybody else had better luck?

Hi,
I am in NL and find it SUPER difficult to get things in the province and I often order things online.
I use a really good website for nuts, olives, coconut products and other stuff like that
upayanaturals.com If you buy $100 plus it's free shipping. They have really great raw nuts and their coconut products are the best I have found.
As for meat products (sandwich meats)I use phillers(gluten free and minimal additives..they use celery extract for preserving).
Also pc does free from for hot dogs and hamburgers.I am a big fan of pc prosciutto as it's only pork with salt and pepper.
Just a note, kale chips are very easy to make at home and far less expensive then what you get in the shops.
Beyond that,I make most things at home.My child still eats gluten free pasta and I send him this for his lunch with homemade sauce.
I also do gluten free sandwiches and make my own snacks that are not nut based as they are not allowed to take them to school.
Hope that helps a bit and I will be curious to hear what others have to say on this topic.0 -
My child also still eats gluten free pasta and i am planning to send that to school obce a week in thermos. Plus he eats rice and i send meat stew on rice in a thermos once a week. He prefers cold lunch because that is everybody having, so twice a week hot lunch in a thermos already streaching his limit.
Once a week i send eggs, because he eats those in cold. What i need is a good cold cut from reliable source. Right now i do maple leaf natural line, which also nitrite, preservative and gluten free. Unfortunately this brand has no bologna and the hot dog not so good.
Last year
they had no ANY nuts policy , which excluded any homemade granola bars, muffins or any snack type homemade goodies. This year i am allowed almonds, but no other nuts.
bTW, the best almond flour i fund is jkgourmet. It is a Ontario based company and thir flour is really fine great for baking. My cranberry orange and my lemon poppy seed almond muffins are my kids fav.0
