Today's Topic: Weekend or weak end

Lots of people do well during the week, but struggle on the weekend. What do you do to keep it from being a weak end to the week?

Try to stay strong. Stay in a pattern that DW and I do or best to not go to over board. Right now it's all over the place.

This may be more of a “working person” issue, but I know I consume more points/calories/food Fridays and Saturdays than I do the rest of the week. I’m deliberately “frugal” with my intake during the week, and then Friday and Saturday I have a better picture of remaining weekly points before they reset Sunday AM. Therefore, I’m more willing to spend the points those two days.

So I indulge on the weekend, but it’s something between a deliberate plan and an anticipated pattern. It also lets me know that I can indulge and still do okay.

Until COVID, we were pretty careful Monday thru Friday AM, after WW meeting, then "The Weekend". Now that meeting's gone, and we go on Wednesday AM, so we'd only have Sunday thru Tuesday for recouperation. As a result, I think we're more cautious all week, with one or perhaps two "blowouts" to deal with.

The weekend usually is a good time for me to evaluate the previous week and reset, if necessary. I generally do very well on the weekend - with the occasional exception.
