In case you miss my post on Catheters

Well I've been full time catherized since June of this year. After some bleeding in late December 21 then early spring of 2022 more bleeding in urine I had 2 Cystoscopies then mid July had a urodynamics test where they test the functionality of your bladder. I failed so here came the words your bladder isn't working.
Mostly there are cons to this condition. ie; I go every 3 weeks to Dr and they replace the catheter. Hooking and un hooking then dealing with a 4 ft hose attached to the bag is not so fun.
Pros I don't have to get up in the middle of the night to go wewe.
Really I just overstretched my bladder too many times. They didn't say that was the case but that's what it was In sure. Our maker sent us all here with a 300 cc bladder men and women. That about the size of a 16.9 oz bottle of water. When mine quit working they pulled nearly 2000 cc out.
Doc said he didn't see any cancer and my prostate was good but he couldn't see where the blood was coming from. I've not had any significant bleeding since the test.
So life goes on.

Derrick, sorry for the confusion. I was just busting Charlie on his post, where he said he was only up once last night.0

It sounds extremely unpleasant, and my goal is to avoid that as long as possible - which hopefully includes “forever” in that spectrum.0

I have had the unpleasant experience of having a catheter once in my life in the early 90's, the result of a nasty accident which left me with many broken bones and other problems. It was not a pleasant experience, you have my profoundest sympathies!0

Sorry to hear this Derrick. The urologist had me for awhile but it looks like I’ve gotten away. I laugh at the dentist now when they ask if they are hurting me.0

It's absolutely astonishing what we can do if we make our minds up to doing what we have to do. Yep guys this condition is not for sissy's. I declare when I heard the news that I would not let this condition slow me down and so far I'm moving right along. Surprisingly it is not uncomfortable 95% of the time and I can opt to just use a plug but I must put a timer on it and drain every hour without fail! Backing up in the kidney's is not an option and can be catastrophic. Just moving right along and thanks as usual for all the best wishes.0
