I'm down 2 pounds. That's against the 2.4 pounds (I think) I gained last week. It's been a "rough" weight-management week, with Hanukkah here and all. I've been having wine by the Hanukkah candles every night and it was latke night last night. C'est la vie. Still maintaining, at least.

I’m up one pound from last week at 180.2, but given that it’s following a somewhat random 2.6 pound drop last week, that’s certainly fine. The most important thing (to me) is that the fourteen day moving average of my daily morning weight has been below my goal weight for the past three days. That’s a new phenomena, and I’m happy to see it. My “intention” is to weigh in under my goal weight of 180 next Thursday, but that intention will guide rather than drive my choices. I’ll try to make my behavior align with my intention, but I’ll also accept that not all my choices will map perfectly. It’s always a challenge when my wife buys the BJ's Wholesale container of cashews, though.
In unrelated news, we are 25% of the way through our kitchen renovation. The demolition phase did not uncover any hidden issues, nor did it create any new ones. The gas line for the new gas stove is installed, the new sink is here, the drywall has been finished, and the cabinets are unboxed but not yet installed. Next week is cabinet installation and templating for the new granite countertops. The “frozen dinner” process we did of making and freezing meals ahead of time has worked as well as we anticipated.
On the NSV side of things, my sit-ups/crunches are up to 120 every other day. I think it’s time to focus on form rather than volume for a while.0 -
