Nee to Type 2

Options
Hi Everyone I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and I'm totally clueless. I used fitnesspal years ago and dropped 50lbs however I am lacking energy drastically. My A1C was 12.7 which I know is extremely high. My glucose was 383 so as you can imagine my doctor is extremely concerned. I'm officially on medication and taking readings 4 times a day.

When I was diagnosed in 2016 my A1C was 13.4 or 13.5. I can't remember, but it was crazy high. I found metformin and dietary changes got things managed pretty quickly. I was discouraged because it seemed to take the metformin a while to start working, and my numbers were horrible when I checked. Within a month or so, the pieces seemed to have fallen into place.

The monitoring is critical because it gives feedback. You get to see what is going on as your body responds to dietary changes.

Let us know how things are going...

Track your numbers, eat mindfully, and you will see good results.
